Hey guys, i need some help. Im going to try and install my autometer guages today for something to do. But im not sure where to splice power for the gauge illumination. I want them to work with the rest of the dash lights. I want them to come on and off at the same time and also dim with the dimmer switch. Thanks guys. I know someone here has done this.

you'll have to hook it up to the dimmer switch circuit. make sure you only hook up the lighting, get power (if they are electric) from the ignition.

yah, as i found out, if you wire into the dimmer switch for straight power, it uhh makes some gauges read kinda strange. heh, all that time i was conviced my car was running like 250c+ and it was just the fact my dimmer switch was way down. it also was effecting my vf1 meter

kinda fun tho, if i turn the dimmer switch all the way down, my vf1 meter goes to like full rich and water temp gauge pins itself way past 250c eheheh

took the elbow and dp off as one. two nuts came off no problem, the lower passenger side nut came off with some swearing, but it took my a fuckin hour to get the lower driver side one off... broke my ratcheting wrench, and i dont have another 14 mm box end.... but with some swearing and bruised knuckles i finally got it off..... note to self, USE ANTISEIZE on everything....
