OH NO! someone stole my rad and half the crap in my engine bay!

oh wait, it was me

ya ya, i finally got my ass in gear and started takin shit apart. i got the rad out (first time, no instructions, damn right im goin to be an engineer ), most of the stuff on the passenger side of the bay.

how do i drain the PS fluid? just let it drain into a jar/jug? might get the resevoir and brackets powdercoated, im finding lots of little things i can powdercoat or paint

goin to get the rad flushed too i think, looks in good condition, just needs a cleaning.

another question, one that baffled me for several minutes.... how the hell do i get the overflow container out? it looks like it should slide right up, but it wouldnt budge, and i couldnt reach the second bolt holding the bracket on...

next on the agenda is to pull all the IC and pipes, the rest of the stuff on the top of the engine, and i might start installing the Eibachs this weekend. too bad it looks like the sway bars wont be here...

almost forgot, anyone want an MBC? i paid $50 for it, ill sell it for $35. its the old JMBC from suprasport, its got a locking main releif valve and a second ball and spring valve to adjust bleed.

Hey Toby if your taking your stuff to the powdercoating place in sidney they wont powdercoat your PS Resevoir because there is a seal in the top of the crimp that will leak after they heat it up to bake the powdercoating on. I tried to get mine done but he didnt wanna do it. So i just got a ton of little brackets and stuff done.

the bars were supposed to get to him in vancouver last week, and he was going to bring them over yesterday or today, but last time i heard on saturday they hadnt come in yet. no big rush for me or you though, aside from wanting to have them on before the cars back on the road.

how much did your stuff cost to get powdercoated? ill strip and sand the parts first to save on $$, he said thats were most of the expense is.the seal can be replaced, so i dont see what the big deal is. im actually looking into getting a new resevoir, along with a catch can. ebay has some decent one for cheap, gotta call around locally sometime this week too.

welll..... the datsun had a flat, so i went to get it fixed.... and i bought some tires $90 for two 235/45/17 Avid H4s. not bad considering they are $120/each new. they are used, they have a bit more than 1/4" tread left, so some good life left in them...

duster is for the car, not the engine...

We could probably work something out... i will talk to you later about it anyways on msn or something. I do want your pipes though, when you decide to upgrade. When do you plan on doing that anyways?
