Is it just me, or did you not blow off for two shifts?

Were you lifting smoothly or something? By listening to the revs it sounded like there should have been a few blowoffs during each of those vids

my goddamn car wont start! its turning over, but its not catching. i thought it was out of gas, but nope.... my uncle is going to come over tonight or the next few days and look at it.... i took the plastic cover off of the top of the engine, unplugged #1 spark plug wire, and i THOUGHT that was it, but now it wont start! hopefully its something simple i missed....

oh ya, and my muffler fell off. rusted to shit, oh well. got my Magnaflow here, just have to get it put on.

you see, thats how this all started. i was lookin to see where the exhaust leads, and i pulled on the muffler. *BOOM* it comes off. so i think, hmmmm i wonder what it sounds like. so i crank it, and the problem starts.... fuel pump is ok, just used the diagnostic block to check it. my uncle will come over in a bit i think, so i'll probably change the plugs and wires since i have them sitting right here. gettin the front brakes done on friday.... $$.......

easy to find out why a car wonte start

4 things you must cheack

1 AIR cheak for aire is easy see if any thing is like bad filter and put you hand on the filter and see if it is sucking in any air

2 FIRE see if you have any spark take plug out and put it near the shock tower and if it spark's

3 FULE 2 ways to do this one you can smell you back tail pipe and if you have bean trying to start it then ti will smell like gas this is the easyer way secound way is to pull a plug and smell it if it smell like gas you got it

4 ELETICAL eninge light will not come on eletical/ecu that bad ones battie dead or lower or has carosetion all over it

so when you do find out what is wroung whiht you can tell me which one it was

you know whats really confusing? taking off the intake, putting it all back together, then hitting the gas pedal only to see the rev's go down... heh i did that when i forgot to plug the AFM sensor back in and started up the car. took me awhile to figure out what i'd forgotten

i cant believe you want a Rx7 man. keep the supra.. Rx is a good car but as good as dead after 200,000k. also the power you can pull from a 13b is nothing compared to a 7M. also rotaries wont take near the abuse the inline 6 will

ive owned a Rx before! have you?

next car (maybe this winter/next spring): 72 Datsun 240, mild body mods, decent lightweight stereo, and a Chev 350 w/5 spd running around 400 rwhp..... total project cost i estimate at around $6000... and mid/low 12s in the 1/4 (talked to a few people with that setup, thats what they had).

yae i know i have driven a 74 240 whiht 350 in it befor whiht 5 speed as well

the only thing that kind piss me off was the way the exhasut was it like made alot of nosie caues it was like dual and it hanged low and stuff but it had some pep but the seption was kinda off caues of the weight but not that much the rear eand was out of 300 z

all around it was kinda quick but it felt like a nose plow all the time

but if you want strighter liner get chevvet whiht 305 or buick v 6 and there you got a stright liner

build up the 280 turbo inline 6. sure they're heavy but just look at Tod Kaneko's 510 and 240, they're just too sweet. plus, get the diesel crank for the 6 cyl. and run mad boost. oh yeah

did anybody ever see that 280z on ebay with the 2jz engine in it? damn that car was nice.

just got my 550cc injectors and MKIV fuel pump in.. havent had time to test it out yet, so far the throttle responce seams to be way quicker... not near as sluggish off the line. i'll have to drive it more to get a better feel.

time to waste some gas.... wee

/QUOTE]

nope, dont know the guy.. but that was my original plan on how i wanted to paint my car, well not exactly, but close -- i wanted to do a midnight metallic blue (really dark) with white racing stripes. too bad i picked up a supra with a burgandy interior

i just took my car for a burn, it idles better now and the engine just seams happier in general. i doubt i'll see any real serious benefits from the lex afm/MKIV Fuel pump/550's til i raise the boost. think maybe tommorow i'll try for 12 or 13 psi and see how that works out

what sort of boost levels do you guys think i can expect to peak at on the CT26? (without harming engine internals) i was aiming for 18psi when i get the new greddy turbo.

15 psi is about peak for the CT26! It really runs well at 12psi after that it kind of sucks

cool! ive seen that car awhile ago, i pulled over to make a phone call and saw it, so i parked beside it and checked it out. it didnt have any racing stripes on it that i can remember. but the rest of it looked pretty nice, is it a 88?

and yeah i doubt i'll try going above say 13psi on the CT26, i hear it generates nothing but heat at high boost

MHG install

Hey guys,

Who here has an MHG (I think only Paradox, am I right?)...

I was wondering how much it cost you in total for parts to do the MHG install (after headgasket, arp bolts, valve cover gaskets, replacement crap, etc... Including machine shop time.

Just curious, thanks.
