That's a killer pano - where is that??

niforpix 01-31-2008 10:16 PM

Waterton Lakes National Park. It's about a 2 hour drive outside of Calgary (I forget in which direction, it was in 2003) lol

Soundy 01-31-2008 10:19 PM

Gotta be toward the west, only direction that has mountains :D

niforpix 01-31-2008 10:20 PM

^^ something tells me you're probably right lol

dub.dub 01-31-2008 10:27 PM

wow, great pictures lately :0

niforpix 01-31-2008 10:32 PM

Thanks! :) I must be doing something right hehe

niforpix 01-31-2008 10:50 PM

Ok, so what do you guys think? Is the water mark too much? Should I try something else? Like a symbol of some sort?

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2228/...cbf701d4_b.jpg

ColinK 01-31-2008 10:56 PM

I'd do something in the bottom corner, that was it you can still show whatever you like, and it doesn't take away from the picture

niforpix 01-31-2008 11:01 PM

I'm just thinking... I mean, I'm not sure if anyone would go thru all the hassle, but technically, if I put it in the bottom corner, someone could just crop the photo, no? What do you think?

Senna4ever 01-31-2008 11:34 PM

Many pros have a watermark in the centre of their images on their websites. Then again, some do not. Put a faint watermark through your images by all means if you're worried about theft.

Soundy 01-31-2008 11:37 PM

That watermark doesn't bother me at all, at least not in that picture.

niforpix 02-01-2008 07:51 AM

Ok cool. Then that's what I'll do. I'll either stick with my name on it, or come up with some sort of a symbol or a design :)

Thanks guys.

So I have been trying to find any excuse not to study today, I hate reading, unless it comes to photography stuff, like learning some new PS tricks =)

I've posted this a while back, but I was never very happy with it, as it was very desat./washed out

This is a little more punchy/dreamy than I usually do but what do you guys think? too much? just right?

GFunk 02-04-2008 12:02 AM

can we see the original that you posted a while back for comparison?

it looks good to me

77civic1200 02-04-2008 05:55 AM

I like the more saturated look better.

The look in her eyes and the subtle smile matches the warmth of the picture.

ColinK 02-04-2008 07:51 AM

^ what he said

Soundy 02-04-2008 08:54 AM

^^Thirded. Tweaked version looks great. Who's the girl?

mc25 02-04-2008 11:21 AM

Definitely the more saturated version.
I love the picture by the way. Very nice composition. I like the way it feels like it has a bit of an angle to it.

77civic1200 02-04-2008 08:02 PM

Thanks!
