yeah the background was really tough to work with.... i had a hard time with it after too.. creases!! haha.. but thanks for the input. I have definitely learned my lesson for the future with patterns/busy backgrounds.

here's page 11 for those who didnt see it on flicker yet

Oh I totally agree! I like that a lot better! Good Job!

mc25 01-03-2008 07:43 AM

Oh, ya that one on flickr is great.
As for the music shot I TOTALLY LOVE IT!!! Its great! And as for lining it up, it is almost perfect.

You should have post some set-up shots though :p
How did you do that one with the music, and the white background.?

it was just a straight up white background - 4 different shots. I asked Jesse to dance, so he did and this is the sequence that I liked.
The music is a simple (oversized) jpg that i found on google. Cut it out, warped it and stuck it in the background of my two pages.

mc25 01-03-2008 04:17 PM

Ya, but its very well done. lol he must be funny to watch dancing, judging by the photos.

Its very original, i love it

haha

so was this a friend that did the modeling for you? or did you hire a person? or?

Car Chick 01-03-2008 11:10 PM

He's a friend of mine :) (and a pro dancer)

Did some product photography for Chocoatl's website. These are some play shots I took using a Lensbaby and a 1DMKIIn after finishing with the actual shoot. I can't believe how noisy the images are @ 400 ISO. Very surprising.

How did you not eat those?! haha

Pretty cool stuff!

Senna4ever 01-04-2008 11:30 PM

Some of those are actually fakes. We did have the real truffles that I did eat though. :)

Car Chick 01-04-2008 11:40 PM

hmm, i've never been a big fan of the lensbabies. They seem kinda ...blagh... to me.
But i like the 2nd shot. :)

J____ 01-05-2008 11:08 AM

lens baby is like a $200 gimmick that gives the same effect i can achieve with 2 mins of photoshop. im not a big fan either

niforpix 01-05-2008 11:14 AM

Senna, do more macro shots. I've always loved your macro like the rain drops on spider webs... These photo actually make my eyes hurt... I mean they're nice photos, but the effect I don't really like much... Just my 2 cents :p

Senna4ever 01-05-2008 11:28 AM

Yeah, I was just playing. Those will not be going onto the website. It was my first time playing with a Lensbaby and a canon camera. It's not an easy thing to play with. The camera is a POS with higher than expected noise.

Clients don't want too many macro shots...they want something that shows off their products.

As for Photoshop, why spend 2 min getting a similar effect when you can get it in 1/125 sec with a Lensbaby? Yes, the uses for it are quite limited though. I'd use it for a select few wedding shots.

niforpix 01-05-2008 12:25 PM

Haha I know clients don't want macro shots, or not too many, but I'm saying post more macro shots on RS :p

bikerx 01-05-2008 04:50 PM

my 1d mark2 doesn't have crappy noise like that... maybe its the lens baby ;) heheh

Senna4ever 01-05-2008 07:43 PM

Maybe....but at 100% on the monitor, there is visible noise at 400 ISO, which was surprising.

bikerx 01-06-2008 12:59 AM

bah its old anyways ;)

Edited to show no noise :D
