My pictures just ruined. looking at it on my computer and the guys blurry. only thing that's somewhat focused is the flame itself. wasn't ready for the guy to run so fast and didn't even know he was coming

burnabykid 02-11-2010 12:22 PM

^ that sucks! but i know what you mean, the guy passes you in seconds after the coke and rbc trucks.

keitaro 02-11-2010 01:42 PM

I was just at the Torch relay at 54th and Tyne and Kerr and 52 (or something).

I basically sprinted ahead of the flame only to just catch up to it before i could get a couple shots off.

I think I'm going to order one tomorrow :)

Since I couldn't get any good pictures of the torch, I took this instead.

Have you guys seen this?

That's because you guys were at ground level. We were up mid-span, so there would be less perspective distortion.

No vignetting if you are using it at 15-16mm. :)

nice shot dood!

would have been nice if some of the highlights were recovered, IMO. don't take it the wrong way! much better than what i can do, that's for sure!

77civic1200 02-13-2010 06:36 AM

That was an editing choice, it was a pretty foggy day so the whole image was fairly flat. I was going for the higher contrast look cause I like the look of the prints.

interesting. i used the sigma 10-20 before on the 5d2 and there was vignetting throughout 10-20mm. the usuable area would have resulted in a square shaped image, which wasn't too bad :)
