How about just using "misinformed". Ignorant has such a strong negative connotation to it that people take offense to it. :) Anyways, less talk, more pics! :D Here's my contribution - this was from a month ago when I was in Denver for training. Decided to see Sid the kid play the Avs. Took this picture while I was there: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/929/img2532nv9.jpg Too bad it wasn't a bit more centered - it was a moving shot and I was way up in the upper bowl so it was a bit difficult to compose the shot on the fly. (yes, I'm an amateur) :D |

Oh, for fuck sakes. I don't want to drag this any further, but the word, "ignorant" in its pure, English dictionary form DOES NOT HAVE A NEGATIVE CONNOTATION! The word is misused by people to have a negative connotation by some people, I guess, but it really does not have, or is intended to have such a slant to it. I used it in its Queen's English form, not the way some people have twisted it to be...please understand this. People who say, "You're ignorant," with the intention of being condescending are not using the word correctly. In university, we ended up wasting a whole English lecture on words like 'ignorant,' 'unique,' & 'couple' and how people frequently misuse them. Please let this be the last post on this subject. |

The word, 'couple' means two. Not three, or four or five. Just two. For instance, people misuse 'couple' by saying, "A couple of minutes," or, "a couple of things," when they really mean to say, "few." The word, 'few' is vague...I was taught that it can be anywhere from two to seven. This concludes your English lesson for today. :) |

Finally got around to looking at some of the pics I took when I did my road trip back in December. Some touristy pics from Santa Monica Pier: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8638/img2120st7.jpg http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/1267/img2123tv1.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8373/img2135ip7.jpg I really need to work on my composition. The 3rd picture would have looked waaay better if I wasn't zoomed in so close... |
