From my experiences dealing with ComPC, if you pay cash, no tax. If you pay debit, then you get tax. Not sure about credit card.

I got 2 R4's from the guy..i admit he's a little shady but you can't really beat his price....i got both my r4's for 50 bucks with no tax.....SkinnyPupp just because you can't beat his price doesn't give you the right to talk down the guy. Dealing with anyone is a risk now adays.....

You just said he's shady, then said I have no right to say he's shady. I know he's shady, and it has nothing to do with not wanting to match his price (whatever that may be, it ranges, and now $50 is the new lowest I've seen it... every time someone brings up that store, the price is different :lol nope not shady at all :lol)

Anyway, you say they're shady, I know they're shady, everyone knows they're shady. Whether you want to give them your hard-earned money, up to you. Nothing I can (or want) to do about it. If someone wants a Chinese version R4, I can probably lower my price by about $5.

Everyone has their own definition of shady, but I don't think they're shady at all. I don't even know why you guys think COMPC is shady at all.

And who even said that their prices are different every visit? Everytime an RS member went there, the price has always been consistently even, or lower than the prior visit (price drops). There has always been no tax, one year warranty on everything, and a recipe. I've probably spent over $500 dollars there between me and a friend and the owner (Kenneth) is always willing to help either on MSN or on the phone.

How is that shady when the store owner personally gives you customer support and will exchange/refund (I know because one of my SC-DS broke before) you with a legit reason? All you got on them being shady is that they don't file taxes, and on an assumption that they are shady from other people. Hell, I rather have them not charge me taxes at all, especially if the taxes I am paying are not going back to the government. You probably got COMPC confused by another store (there are a few in Crystal Mall that also sell these sort of things).

I don't mind you going around recommending people to buy from you, but you don't have to go around saying other stores are shady for no good reason.

honestly, i'd rather order 20 R4DS from Skinnypupp and throw 19 of them in the garbage then step foot inside crystal mall and have to crush some hongers skull who looks at me crooked :cool:

compc guy was pretty chill though he had a fob accent had a hard time understanding whats his saying other then that haha he was pretty flexable with the price bought my r4+1gig for 72bucks

Did you mention the RS thing? I'm not sure if he's still running that (been a few months). But it was 70 bucks last time I talked to him for any Slot 1 + 1GB card.

Can someone who bought a R4 there tell me what distributor label is on the cover? It should be either TwinStar or Three Dragons or something... usually it's a sticker on the corner of the front of the box.

He got it for his friend, and values customer service, and he saved about $5 on each one (since that store isn't actually selling them for $60 as some people claim)
