Really? I didnt know that. I slept in my truck at Hillside mall the other day. Usually after a few hours the lot security dude comes up and knocks on the window. I told him my story but i still got the boot.

I just parked on a side street after that. But, maybe i should pack an extension cord from now on and run it through my window for power. A small beer fridge and a how water heater would be all i need. :agree:

yeah man I was thinking of doing that...but no Wally World in CR lol....might hit it up in Kamloops, but by the looks of things I"ll be able to couch surf for a month or two in Kamloops if wanted to, I"ve had about 3-4 friends offer...:D

Eh since this is the nothing thread...Who knows much about carpentry on the island?(apprenticeship) The union over there refuses to commit to a straight answer when I called them as to if there would be much of a wait to get work or not :p

from what I've been hearing there's a HUGE skilled labour shortage all over the place.

you're kinda coming at the wrong time (from what I understand winter ain't the best time for construction), but thankfully Vic winters are pretty forgiving...

Well it'll more than likely be after Christmas that I'd be coming - Might want to spend it with my family back here...

But the union said the slowdown is minimal for winter - Hell, even here the construction goes on during snow and -20 temps...
I just wish they could say "ok, you'll be on the waiting list for 2 weeks" and I could just grab a job driving a truck in the mean time :)

theres a few large sites around vic. U show up with tools and u will be working that morning. no problem.
