White van speaker scam pulled up beside me at a stoplight in Vancouver, today, at lunch. That's a first time experience for me. :p

im tired

Paradox 09-08-2006 12:26 AM

i've had this thought in my head for a few days, kinda a weird one. i think there may be some pilots in training around that may be able to help me out to solve it.

if a plane, say a cessna 172, something small with a take-off speed of 60mph is sitting still on a run-way, wind at its nose.. if the winds were at 60mph+ could it just simply lift off from the spot its in?

No, because it has to be going a certain speed to lift off in the first place
A 60mph wind is not going to propel a huge mass like that to the speed needed

Victoria SiR 09-08-2006 07:41 AM

If the wind speed were at the rate needed to provide lift then yes it would lift off...

ness_71 09-08-2006 08:27 PM

Wow I am bored! Kamloops sucks. I went to the grocery store and the sun had barely set and there was already a guy tweaking out in the parking lot.

I have no friends.

Festus351 09-08-2006 08:57 PM

lol yeah Kamloops is lame... huuuuge lame. it was so shitty having to come home after being on the island on the long weekend...

But at least you arent alone ^_^"

What are you taking at TRU?

ness_71 09-08-2006 09:07 PM

Engineering design and drafting.. I think I sold myself short lol. Oh wells. What are you taking?

Festus351 09-08-2006 09:19 PM

Bachelor of Fine Arts (2nd-3rd year).... eventually i'll get my secondary teaching for art and english... nothing really special but teaching is really my fall back... cuz you cant really rely on anything in the fine arts its more of a right place at the right time thing... unless you're fortunate like Des to be talented enough to do tattoo work. *Your work is amazing btw dez*

ness_71 09-08-2006 09:25 PM

I'd love to take art, but I get too uptight about it, hence the drafting. I dunno.. it's something to do for now.. I miss vic though.

Festus351 09-08-2006 09:30 PM

hahaha Ness_71... sorry about the double pm... my computer decided it was going to send it twice and make it look like it was never sent... my bad :o

Ok, so how about say if there is like a hummingbird in your car, will it be able to hover in one spot? It won't hit the back window right? Will putting the windows down make a big enough difference? I say it will hover because the air is moving with the car, therefore the bird is moving with the car. No one believes me. Of course the obvious course of action would be to test the theory, but have you ever tried to catch a hummingbird? Seriously..

7G 09-08-2006 10:40 PM

im drunk hahahha
