i think the rating sucked coz there's too much randomness to the game. you can suck and still win the game is basically 1 big factor

mario party 8 - reviews are always low.. and some of their complaints are a bit silly, ie. bad single player mode.. its a PARTY game, so unless you're playing with 2 or 3 other people it's not going to be as fun. The game is what you make it to be.
mario strikers - single player is fun, first 2 cups are pretty easy but then the difficulty gets upped. the new charging system is interesting, but I think I preferred the old one.. too many animations when doing a super strike slows down the game a little bit.
Both are still games I'd pick up for sure.

Just because some of those game reviewers wiimote controlling sucks dont mean the controls are glitchy there are times where they says a certain game controllers are unresponsive, ive been able to master it, like splinter cell on wii for example. Same with Cooking mama, i think other then the Egg cracking thats hard everything else was pretty easy to master.

i think the rating suck because it was a lazy gamecube port. in comparison, paper mario was a gamecube port but they made significant upgrades to it.

i seriously dont know wtf nintendo is thinking..
they already ditched the piece of shit gamecube...yet they are developing games base on gamecube than transfer to wii? doesnt make any fucking sense
its like 360/ps3 make games base on previous gen and than do some little upgrades here and there....than call it the day...wat a bunch of bs
heck, they dont even make any sort of games for GC anymore.....man Nintendo is starting to really piss me off

...The games were already in the final stages of development during the life cycle of the gamecube; however, they decided to rather delay it and release it for the wii instead of the gamecube.

Nintendo and their first party titles are notorious for moving up projects to their "next gen" if it feels suited for.. from Star Fox 2 to Star fox 64.....
Rare did this back in the day from N64 to GC to 360 on some of their games like Dinosaur Planet and Kameo..
Take a look at The Godfather Dons Edition for ps3, which was a port from ps2/xbox, utter nonsense..considering how powerful the ps3 is..
Farcry for the Wii is a perfect example of a poorly rushed ported title.......... even the xbox had better graphics and gameplay..
its just business wise for Nintendo, pulled the plug on their 'cube to port Twilight Princess, Paper Mario and now Mario Party to their newly successful console..

i played mario party 8 for a while ~ it's not as bad as the review sounds ~ although the randomness factor really plays a big part ~ you can be the crappiest player and the most unlucky player and still win the game with the bonus stars ~ i guess 1 option is to turn off bonus star but then there's no element of surprise  i guess you can't have it both way

im stuck at the crystal cup (the 2nd cup)
went into the semi finals and got owned , now have to restart the whole tournament....damn

I got 3 from there and it was always Friday around 1~2pm.
That's strange, I saw Wiis in Wal-Mart from time to time. It's not like instantly gone as it used to be.
