well the wii will get warm regardless coz all it has for ventilation is a puny fan on the back ~ and i shouldn't think laying the wii flat will affect the ventilation since the fan is on the back of the console ~ so i've no idea

Of course it gets warm. But that doesn't affect anything whatsoever. It's meant to be warm 
Get a fan if you want, it is just completely pointless. All you'll accomplish is ridding the Wii of one of its biggest advantages, that it makes no noise at all (well except when it's reading discs which kinda sucks)

Has anyone purchased a Wii wireless sensor bar??
I just bought one for $29.99 from AsiD at best buy
now the problem i realize after i purchase, it said 100 feet distance which i thought would be really good
After receiving it i realize it says 100 feet limite from the bar to the wii! than 8 feet from the bar to the wii remote ?? wtf
Am i missin sth? guess im gonna go home and test it out today....grrrr
Shouldnt it be the other way around? 8 feet from bar to wii, and 100 feet from bar to remote???
Now im looking at best buy's website, Nyko is coming out with a wireless on MAy 1st i believe..it says 20 feet...hoping its bar to remote distance??
I mean this is stupid, 8 feet distance is totally not enough from the bar to the remote, especially i got a huge tv

not a bad product, it definitely keeps my Wii really cool. I just play for 4hrs straight and my Wii is ice cold, no more warm console like previously even if i leave it off, the red/orange status would still warm up the wii
only complaints is they dont have an OFF switch, so i either have to unplug the power from the wii and plug it back on to let the Wii go into OFF status than the fan will be off, or i just have to remove the fan each time

haha, i always see u on buy and sell forum, u sell your games after owning them for like a week........
i dunno, like everyone else hav said it before, i seriously dont think u need a cooler for the wii, its efficient as it is already.. plus i havent heard any stories of it overheating
or r u at a phase now where u just feel like spending sumthin on ur consoles? like ricing out a car? hahaahaha j/k
i owned my psp and ds and i end up buying all this shit for it..
neways just picked up Mario Paper for Wii today, im hooked on it, the thing that pisses me off is the text based storyline, u cant skip it, and too much dialogue......
anyone plannin to pick up Resident Evil 4 when it comes out for Wii? that game was bad ass for the 'cube and i never own it before, tha targeting system is crazy on the wii, much easier to get headshots..

i returned the piece of shit wireless power bar, 8 feet is completely a joke. I will give Nyko power bar a try when it comes out on monday May 1st
RE4 would be intersting, but i already beat the game like 4-5 times. I would really appreciate the game a lot more if they at LEAST add a little sth new, not just throw me a oh brand new control/aim.

After i had my wii key installed in the wii, i noticed i get a lot more ERROR while loading up the game. Anybody got this problem?
Like it will say error and please eject the game and turn the system off and refer to ur owner's manual!!!
I think i get this error msg when im in wii's main page and i just put in the game, i click on the game section to go in and waiting for the START button to light up than it goes into ERROR mode
but if im in the wii menu and just insert the game, i wait until the game picture shows up ( meaning it detects the game and finish loading) than i click in and press start i dont have this problem i think

Just spoke to my friend today tho regarding the ERROR he keeps on getting since the day he got his Wii, and he didnt even mod his wii yet...happened to him about 7-8 times and he got it around christmas
anyone else experienced this problem??? having difficulty to load the game

i'm afraid to mod my Wii..
i mean i can shell out an extra $300 if my Wii does break down but even now after 6 months since it release, its still hard to get a Wii
i never own a 'cube and lately iv been itching to collect sum 'cube games...
i picked up MGS: Twin Snakes (used and already discontinued at stores) and a used controller at EB.. only to realize how short the damn cord/wire is.. now im looking for a wavebird controller..
ill just wait it off and see the reviews for RE4 on Wii if its still worth getting, or id just pick up a $20 used copy of it for 'cube..
i'm soo hooked up Super Paper Mario.. old school mario game ftw..

the only issue the wii has that has happend to me are the stuck pixels. I talked to the guy at nintendo HQ he told me it could be the virtual console that causing the problem. But it is not a fact yet.
However I get the disc error once in awhile if i did a crappy burn on a game. usually i would use the verbatim dvds
