When i bought my AP in HK, i bargained off 35% off retail. I have to say HK is the BEST place to buy watches that retails over 10k, cause the discounts you get is outrageous.

I'm waiting for some fucker to drop their panerai at the club.

Rolex GMT-master II , one of my university presents.
This picture is as close to mine as it gets, same color scheme, this one is just more worn.

Impressive gift...
You should be able to keep that watch with you for the rest of your life.

Woah some of you spend so much on watches. The last watch I got was a TechnoMarine Geneve watch which was roughly $4K and that is probably the most I would spend on just a watch.

RacePace 05-29-2008 03:15 PM

^seriously, I can't imagine dropping the same cash as the value of an economy car on a single watch

trevor87 05-29-2008 08:13 PM

i got a nixon- the banks that was around $400

a1ize 05-29-2008 08:28 PM

ya its sometimes hard to get your hands on a panerai.
ive been waiting over 6 months for a 270 but i grabbed the 233 since it came in. kinda got tired of waiting and paying for the damn price increases.

btw where do u order from?

monster killer 05-29-2008 08:52 PM

I would never spend no more than a few hundred dollars on a watch, let alone a few thousand......I rarely ever wear a watch.

I know plenty of people that have very expensive watches, but the fucked up thing is,they are always fucking late!

Marco911 05-30-2008 12:49 AM

^^Let's put it this way, the only legitimate bling a gentleman can have is his watch and cuff links.

JikJak 05-30-2008 01:11 AM

hey dont forget his diamond grill !

Marco911 05-30-2008 04:57 AM

^^Whoops, and I forgot his wife/gf and all the bling that she can wear. I say fuck all that and get a nice watch.

Not true,a gentleman can have a really nice iced out chain.

I'm not really a fan of big expensive flashy watches,I like my big gold chains.

JikJak 05-30-2008 11:46 AM

i pity the fool that dont have no big gold chains!

gold chains.. = blah

Watches and cuffs = the win

Nice! 10-days fiddy case is awesome. I want a fiddy case so bad since I tried one on.

I ordered from the Panerai Boutique in Beverly Hills. You get better US pricing, free straps and goodies, and free shipping to Canada. So you end up saving a lot (even w/ duty and taxes). I got my 240 from Palladio and it felt like I was being "Future Shopped". But the Boutique experience was amazing...emailed them, they follow up, and 1 day later, a Pearwood box arrives at your door! :)

With the wait, I'm now tempted to consider a Big Pilot or an AP ROO Rubberclad. DAMN THE ADDICTION FOR I AM WEAK!!!!!

OOH nice they give free goodies! what kind of goodies did u get? do they give any price breaks or do they just charge msrp? palladio prices are quite high, but then again we are in canada hehe.
oh btw are there any good places to get straps around here?

im actually glad i went 233. i should have just decided on that one back then. maybe i wouldnt be waiting so long. the more i look at the 270 the more the number 9 on the face bugs me. kind of wrecks the balance on the watch and makes that left side all cluttered. also the 10 day fang will rarely move if u wear it often. i just hope manual winding every week or so does not become annoying hehe.

the AP ROO is quite nice, i think thats gotta be the next one on the list. go for it! hehe
