Is the La Swiss sale still on? I lost my Hamilton Navy Frogman diver, and I'm pretty peeved about it. :( But I can't live without a watch, and I want an auto - not to wear my G-Shock (beater watch) all the time.

Normally I wear a philip stein chrono watch, people are always asking what it is, and never heard of it, it was only about 1000$, looks formal but somewhat sporty, depends on what strap you go for, straps are really easy to change takes 5 secs.

Also have a panerai luminor, ridiculously popular in HK but pretty cool watch good for both classy and casual events.

Have been wearing one for 17 years, never missed a beat, not even requiring service. Well, I guess it is not too accurate now running a little fast a few minutes a week.

For those interested in learning more about the Rolex brand, here's an article that talks about how they came into fame back in 1927, with their Oyster.

the biggest waste of time ever...

They were trying to pawn off a huge 50-70& off sale...but they were ripping customers off...

I saw a nice big red 70% off sign by the Fortis display and was pretty stoked...I would definitely fork out the cash to buy a Fortis at 70% off for sure!

Checked out this one watch that I've liked for quite a while, asked to try it on...I then asked them how much the watch was...he told me $10K and 70% off...I was in shock...this watch is usually around a $4000-$4300 MSRP....at 70% off, it would have been an awesome price....

But fucking La Swiss...the crooks they are, marked it up over 200% and then offered 70%...I was furiuos...

This is some brutal business practice...garbage...
La Swiss will never see a penny from me...

friend has been ripped off at La Swiss before too, im surprised people still go there

You drive a bimmer and wear an expensive watch, Buy a decent Camera/ Camera phone now...

achiam 08-10-2009 08:27 PM

I have a Nike running watch, a Garmin 305 GPS running watch, and a broken Seiko Kinetic.
I was going to buy a Breitling Superocean last year, then became obsessed with Moon Phases and the JLC Master Calendar.
Then I tried on a watch with a tourbillon, which I would never be able to afford, and promptly forgot about the JLC.
I think I'll just stick to using my Blackberry. It automatically updates from the network so its pretty reliable I guess.
