Time for an update.
Picked up two more watches since I acquired the two Omegas (Seamaster 2254.50 and the Speedmaster Pro).

First is the H2O Orca. Highly modifiable dive watch. Case design, bezel design, bezel insert, Dial, Hands and Crystal all have a few options to choose from. You can choose whatever combination you like when you buy it. You can even get more than one case as you can change the movement base into the different cases within minutes.
This is how mine looks like. I especially like the "SuperDomed" Crystal.

SUPERDOMED CRYSTAL!

Watch is mounted on the "Dress" case and this one is called "Classic" case.

Then I picked up a Sinn UX S.
This one is pretty cool. Case made of high-strength seawater-resistant German submarine steel and has a WR of 5000m. lol.
This is one tough watch and COSC spec'd quartz movement is a great grab-and-go watch.
Another highlight of the watch is that the movement, dial and hands are immersed directly in a crystal-clear bath of oil. Legibility is superb even from the most extreme angle. It's unreal and nothing I've seen in other watches before.

This picture kinda shows how you can still read the dial from this angle.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently sold the Omega 2254.50 and the Speedmaster Pro and I was finally able to find my grail watch in the configuration I like.

Omega Planet Ocean XL 2200.51.00 Orange numerals with black bezel and this one is the 2500D movement too!
It's making its way to me now!
Also, this one caught my attention Bell&Ross BR03-92 in Stainless Steel.
This is the 42mm version which is much more wearable. I like the clean dial and funky square watch case. Was able to find one in near mint condition so I pulled the trigger.
I think I'm very close to the end of my watch buying journey and going to settle with these two. PO as a everyday watch and the Bell&Ross for when I want to wear something more funky/trendy.
That being said really need to recoup some funds and am selling the H2O Orca and the Sinn UX S. So if anyone is interested in them let me know!

Who is a good dealer that offers decent discount for Omega? Looking for a seamster but not sure what the average discount around Van is. Any help would be great.

Most dealers will initially offer you a crap price, tell them right off the bat that you're interested and ask how much movement they have on the price. After they offer you a better price, get them to come down a little bit more. Some dealers (the good ones) wont even quote you the msrp because the know that nobody buys at this price, sure they will have it listed at the msrp, but the good ones will give you an adjusted price right away without you asking. You should expect %17-20 off the msrp. Lugaro in metrotown is pretty good to me for prices and service, if you can find a good price locally then try amazon.com, but keep in mind you'll pay duty on top of the listed price.

Thanks, I walked into a dealer and was offered the MSRP basically out the door and refused to move. So I left... was just feeling the waters to see who I should talk to. Wish I could get Jomashop prices around here... If anyone here knows the name of a sales person that's willing to talk real numbers... shoot me a PM!

Thanks.

it depends where you go, i went into birks and time and gold wanting a frederique constant watch, both places have MSRP of 1150, birks would not budge on the price and time and gold gave me a discount that brought price to 950. But thats still more expensive than amazon.

Then my friend said he got a good deal at lugaro and i went in looking at their stuff but they don't sell frederique constant, but there was a longine GMT i really like, the sales lady was nice, and i just asked her what is your best price. And she gave me a price of 1520 with taxes in. Then i quickly look for gray market deals online, and jomashop and other sites have it at 1230 ish plus shipping and possible duties, and no warranty. So i bought it at lugaros, this sales lady was very good, i only realize she was actually the manager at lugaros maybe thats why she could give such discount. i don't know if the others there would do the same thing.

But lugaro for sure is a place you should check out.

Coincidentally, I just got the red pebble today!

Feels light-weight and smaller than I thought.

I have to explore much more to experiment with its uses.
