does anyone know if there are positions that allow staff to work 4-9pm ish shifts on week nights? what time are afternoon merchandising shifts?

woozzle 11-09-2007 10:58 AM

seasonals afternoons are weekdays 6-11, weekends 3-8 (sat). 2-7 (sun)

.Dream.Time 11-09-2007 01:44 PM

just wondering what are the different departments in costco? and what do they do?

TurtMcDirt 11-10-2007 01:20 AM

usually if you're seasonal, your shifts would most likely, but not for sure, consist of;
mon-fri 4-9pm or 645-1045pm
sat 1030-7, 11-730, or 1130-8(usually 8 hours on saturday)
sun 1030-530, 1230-730 or 1230-530 (sundays you rarely get an 8 hour shift because of the premium. $4 extra an hour)
these shifts are based on the front end dept. also, you may also be getting 8 hours on weekdays, not just 4 or 5 hour shifts. and not all of them will be closing.

there's a lot of different departments, but when you start as a seasonal you're most likely looking at a SEASONAL position in the following departments;

food court, front end, afternoon merchandising, major sales (electronics), hardlines (a certain area of morning merchandising)

edit: i work at the richmond costco

pyros1 11-12-2007 08:21 PM

sundays you get $18 I believe I have a friends older bro that works there. But the seniors usually take up the sunday slots

which means your friends older bro pay starts at 14$

the policy for sunday is ..

sunday premium:

there's always a good chance to be kept on as long as you show that you're a hard worker.

it depends on what dept you're looking to get into and if they need anyone. but its pretty easy to get into most depts

winks 11-30-2007 07:32 AM

this question is for the costco employees only

is it true anyone can return anything at costco without receipt/box, manuals and being used for couple of years? even if its broken? thanks

illicitstylz 12-02-2007 12:12 AM

i believe you need a receipt, just like any other place.

other than that, you can return it even after like a year to my understanding.

Mr.HappySilp 12-02-2007 12:42 AM

shawn79 12-25-2007 12:04 AM
