yes, it is however slow paced relative to loss prevention at other retailers

i never worked for him but seeing as how he'd tell me to do his job ( even though i'm under a different manager/section ) and how he runs his staff, i feel sorry for his employees.

I haven't seen any postings for awhile but it doesnt necessarily mean locations aren't looking to hire.

Starting salary is DOE... technically the pay range could be anywhere from 11.00 - 22.XX plus bonus

I would imagine you would start somewhere in the middle provided you had decent previous experience.

EmOne 02-27-2009 09:23 PM

gabi, you still working at the richmond costco?
Do you know if they are hiring part timers in the front end? I worked there during xmas as a seasonal

i respect the guy cause he works hard but hes such a fucking prick. when i worked there, he would give me shit when i was front end and he was merch manager. honestly, if your looking to work at costco...don't work richmond since its buttfuck busy compared to the other branches. doing buggies sucks fucking ass too.

Costco richmond just posted an ad

twitchyzero 03-30-2009 04:29 PM

bump.

i'm interested in working p/t (12-20 hours weekly) at the new bby location or the d/t one from may -august.

hopefully it's not too late to get hired for the summer session.

can someone shed on some light on what's the best position to start with?

someone please give me some insight!
best position to start with
and to apply they only take resume from CS desk
im not too fond of that since many employees would just throw it to garbage..especially with this economy

go up to member services and give it to someone in a red vest.
If you are applying at the richmond one don't apply for the front end position, it fucking sucks. Gets so busy and they make you go outside and push carts in the rain and snow.
Apply for merch if you want to do stocking.

twitchyzero 04-01-2009 09:34 PM

im looking for the d/t or bby one
how heavy do you need to lift for merch?

if you're afternoon merch, you'll pretty much be tidying up the place and stuff mostly. the heaviest thing would probably be the bags of sugar/flour or trays of pop.

you wouldn't be lifting anything like sofas or tool chests, they'll have forklifts for those

from what i remember (last summer)

worst was probably car batteries ( rare you have to do them )

kitty litter, the 50lb boxes, was the worst

juices is pretty bad too.

boxes of paper

detergent

i actually work for the afternoon merch at the new bby one... and no, heaviest shit is probably the kitty litter, car batteries - but that stuff is rarely stocked by us

and just so you can get a grasp of how easy/hard it is after closing, i can solo stock the entire pop, juice aisle, and then some.. every night

not hard, but apply soon (mid-late april) - you wont be getting 12-20 hrs though, more like 25 MIN.

btw, its really easy to turn the job into a workout if your looking to get stacked

JSALES 04-02-2009 09:12 PM

a merch is like what? a stock boy?

twitchyzero 04-02-2009 10:46 PM

i see. good to know cause im a scrawny guy haha.
any other positions that's good to start with? I practically dont mind doing anything..as long as it's not the fast food or deli

TurtMcDirt 04-02-2009 11:14 PM

i'm a front ender at richmond location. i think its so slack lol...

JSALES 04-03-2009 01:27 AM

riccof 04-23-2009 09:18 PM

I'm looking to possibly apply at the Burnaby Willingdon location. Is the only way to apply to stop in a drop off a resume? Thanks
