Hey guys, ehh heres my situation:
I've had the Panasonic Lumix TZ-5 for quite some time now, and after playing around with some DSLR's at BestBuy ive decided to get one.
Any suggestions?
Ive been looking at the Sony Nex-5 but its a bit pricey...

I've got an offer for my 7D for $1300 and I've currently got a 35L, Tokina 11-16mm, and Canon 17-55 2.8 IS. Should I sell the 7D and the Canon 17-55 to fund a 5D MK II and use the Tokina money to put towards a wide angle? I'll mostly be shooting video and some stills. I know the AF is lacking in the 5D is it that much a hinderance?

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a camera. I have this camera (FUJIFILM Finepix-S602 zoom) lying around in my house, but it's very old. Should I upgrade or should I just use the old camera?

Either will do. Probably D5100 or D3100 a little easier to use.
Used D40/D40x/D60 will do too.

Didn't want to make a new thread for this so,
I ordered some off camera flashes/triggers and a grip for my camera, but now I need good rechargeable AA batteries. Does anyone know where to buy "Sanyo Eneloop" batteries in the GVRD? I want two starter packs (8x AA, 4x AAA, + charger and carry kit). Anyone know of a shop that sells them?

I'd wait for them on sale at NCIX or Shoppers Drug Mart. They're usually on sale for about $8-$10 for a 4 pack of AA or AAA's. If you want the kit, try Costco.

This pack seems like a decent deal to me - can't remember if NCIX has better deals.

the time to buy eneloops is from dell when they have the package (with charger) on sale like above, and to stock up on the batteries at shoppers drug mart when they go on sale for $7.99 (used to be $6.99) for a 4 pack of AA or AAA. NCIX rarely has them on sale, they have them weekly on for $12.99, and sometimes $9.99. Read redflagdeals for the deals.

thanks | It's a fine camera. Pretty much all Canon dSLR are great. (Except the Rebel XS in my opinion).
They're all capable of taking great vids. T2i does video well too.

Otherwise this is the best plan of action (as I've done the same)

^^^ What a joke. A $7000 "46MP" APS-C sensor camera with (mostly) second rate lenses and no pro support? No thanks. How many of Sigma's lenses can match the resolution of the sensor? Canon S95 is pretty much your only option. Go full manual and use a tripod. P&S aren't good in low light unless you use a long exposure, low ISO, teamed with a pod.
