Because of the strike, there are 9 episodes, with the last 2 playing next week back to back.

I'm pretty sure they'll keep the show, but I'm not sure if they'll finish the last 4 episodes or just start over again with a full 2nd season.

No no, it's over now, but because of the strike production was screwed up for just about every show. Hence the short season.
