I'm sure that if I gain any muscles, I'd finally catch up to the biggest guys on my team on OC. Currently pretty much my technique and tenacity is the only reason why I'm not dead last in term of paddling ability. XD Yay for being a 125 pounder.

I'd like to think that my light weight means the other guys need to pull less deadweight. XD I am lighter than some of the girls on my team, but at least I'm not the only under 130 pounder guys. (We've got a couple.) Hence the 'lightweight' label that we regularly get.

Oh, I'm available tomorrow evening for OCing if you have time. I'm already missing the water.

We have three 125lb guys on our team =p and all of them raced the semis and the final. We sat out our most physically strong person though (my brother) but he's not the best paddler though due to the fact that he's brand spanking new, joined the season half way, and has a lot of bad habits... he's the guy that u'll see who is constantly lifting logs, doing chin ups and reverse push ups.

You know, we need to get the 125 pound Anthony on an OC and see how he fares. I need some competition from another lightweight guy. Currently having all the faster OC paddlers on Magnum being a good 50 to 70 pounds more muscles than me makes me wish I can build muscles faster.

Speaking of which, Brad said anything about the next time trial yet? I haven't heard of it for a long, long time.

Alright then. I usually arrive at FCCC by 5:30~6pm so I can rig it up quickly and leave before the dock gets too crowded. IIRC some OC programs usually paddle around that time and FCRCC paddlers like to OC at that time too, so hopefully there'll be enough surfrigger/C-Lion available.

Sounds good, I haven't tried the C-Lions yet so I'll be taking a surfrigger

But isn't the kanaha the stand up paddle?

Nevermind. Checked it out. I'm LittleSchrodinger over at DBW, so I'm up for it.

A demo paddle? I'd love to demo it too. Let me borrow it after you've given it a few strokes.

Thats why most WW guys are on WW for that same reason. It may not be true but it seems to me as if it wouldn't really feel like family to me. You could have guy A, D, F and Z on the team for like a couple of months, then on the next time trials, boom they're gone to B or C lol (my perception anyways)

It's also the reason why I'm still with Magnum for the mixed team. Practicing with FCRCC Men really gave me idea of how much work is involved in getting into the racing teams with FCRCC. (And I mean a LOT.) <_< As awesome as it would be to be racing worlds, CCC, and whatnot, it takes insane dedication and a dose of raw talent/muscle. Just ask your coaches!

Didn't WW went to a Canadan Crew Club race before or something? I'm hoping Magnum would attend those events one day as well and be able to race with the top teams. Of course, there's always financial/commitment issues and the good ol' "Race for medal or experience" debate.

Yes without warning did participate in crew club race before. The only reason why Without warning may not seem so dominant this year is because they've chosen to take it easy this season + that they lost a lot of paddlers to FCRCC through the years. Let's not forget, during the past 2 years they did beat Gorging in Victoria to win Victoria, won San Fran, and won Whistler. Also, a lot of guys on the current FCRCC B team are not necessarily on it because they're slower than the members on the A team, but more so because of time and financial reasons. Other than Alcan and *requirement* races such as Whistler and Harrison for nationals this year, the B team members still get to race in the majority of other local races such as dash and the fcrcc regatta (so far this season).

As well as we've performed, and even through our finish at Alcan (which is the highest a dragon hearts team has placed (and Without Warning is associated with Dragon Hearts)) we still have a lot to learn from our coaches from Without Warning. As well, I feel we just gel better as a team, but individually, Without Warning paddlers are just as good or better (like our coaches in this example). But I don't see anyone surpassing the wisdom of our head coach Brad any time soon, who is from Master's of Dzone. We still have a lot to learn and improve on, but it just shows, the pupils can outdo the teachers at any moment ... and sometimes, that results in coaches owing ayce sushi to their paddlers... but we students have learned to be humble and respectful to not force them to pay for all our meals haha

Well said, Sherry. I'd like to emphasize on the individual point; I'm sure that right now our coaches will kick our sorry butts on individual paddling abilities. (Painfully obvious on OC1s) We just have our stroke's tendency to go for insanely high rates and our ability to hang on (only so barely) going for us in DB races.

Glad to hear someone has taken over from me. I haven't posted much on there in years. Its changed so much since I first joined and since they tried to silence me. ("colossus")

I will probably be on the water already if you guys are going out around 9. Jacob knows what I look like.
