Big Hero 6

great movie, liked it as much as i did with Wreck it Ralph!

The Purge: Anarchy

7.5/10

I really, really enjoy both Purge movies. They always have average ratings, and the realistic concept of having a Purge is crazy and economically unfeasible, but I like these movies quite a lot. One of the reasons why I like them, is probably because I don't know what to expect to happen

The Judge 7.5/10 - I think I'm just a big RDJ fan, not sure everyone would like.
The Drop 6.5/10 - Worth watching IMO, doesn't blow your mind but a decent movie.
The Interview - 2/10 - A couple one liners other then that pretty much dogshit.
The Hobbit 5 Armies 7/10 - I don't think I was in the mood to watch a movie when I seen this so near the end I kept looking at my watch wondering when it would end. Overall it was alright but there was something lacking for me I just can't put my finger on it.

Into the Woods
7/10
The movie was like a bunch of fairytale stores into one with glee....

GLOW 01-03-2015 03:30 PM

the inbetweeners: 8/10
the inbetweeners 2: 7.5/10 (not as good as the first due to lack of dance scene)

Tegra_Devil 01-03-2015 04:06 PM

the equilizer - 7.5/10

Frozen: 8/10

Because the movie reminded me so much of Beauty and the Beast, I decided to Google Frozen and Beauty and the Beast and I guess I'm not the only one who feels this movie is an exact copy of the former Walt Disney classic.

No wonder Frozen is a hit.

Weirddddddddd I watched Frozen today too lol

6.5/10. Why is Elsa hot shit when Anna was the better character?

And Olaf is the movie. I only rated it that high because Olaf is 5 points.

I'm not a big Disney person, so wouldn't have realized this myself but decided to google it after reading your post.

Would be sad if Disney actually recreated the same story with modern characters... considering watching both to see how far the parralels go.

DragonChi 01-04-2015 09:04 AM

Equalizer, 6/10, steven seguall neck snapping, - 2 pts. Among other things. Fake russian accents too.

Rio 2, 7.5/10, All star voice cast, fun movie :D, pretty corny though.

CL typeS 01-04-2015 09:27 AM

I dont understand the hype with frozen, I would give it a 5/10, and just cuz of Olaf too lol

People went crazy about it because its the first Disney movie to have an "independent" princess not trying to win over the love of a man.

it's stupid.

I liked the movie but it's not worth all the hype.

GLOW 01-05-2015 01:41 PM

The Interview 7/10

It had me laughing quite a bit, people get to serious when they watch these types of movies. Just enjoy it, glad I saw it, will probably watch again to catch the jokes I missed while laughing. (Watched it with a group of friends so it was a good atmosphere, i'm sure that made it more enjoyable as well.)

Godzira 01-05-2015 03:57 PM

agreed ^

westopher 01-05-2015 04:45 PM

wild
8/10
Its a little slow moving at first but as the character development moves on its really captivating. I really like movies about people battling with their demons. I find it so interesting. It could be boring if you aren't interested in that type of thing. At worst though you see Reese Witherspoons tits.

Presto 01-05-2015 04:57 PM

The One

Terrible terrible movie, but the ending saves it.
"I'm nobody's bitch. You are mine!"
HAHA

4/10

let me tell you, i do not take it serious when watching movies like pineapple express / the last of us / 21 jump street or other seth rogan comedies.

but the interview was just cringy having low expectations. I want to laugh but at the same time, i just couldnt..

The Hobbit 3. Legit 7/10, not RS 7/10. Better than the hobbit 2.

as I think most people say regarding all 3 of the movies, LOTR made the Hobbit incapable of having the same wow factor it would otherwise.

SEMI-SPOILER.

The last like, hour, of the movie after *someone* died, could have not been there. So damn long. The 3 movies could have been jammed into 2 movies. You could tell Peter Jackson stretched the 2 movies into 3.

rsx 01-06-2015 05:10 AM

Whiplash - 8.5/10

Loved the movie. Gotta love jazz music.

Really? I thought 2 was better, but I figured 3 wouldn't be as good going in because they'd be wrapping everything up at the end like ROTK (which had a similar hour long, dragged out ending). Actual content-wise 3 didn't have much in it but I'm guessing they split it for the extended versions later on (otherwise they'd have two 3-3.5hr long movies extended to 5 hours each).

Also I now have a hard time watching LOTR, I watched the first half of Fellowship and I can get past the 1 year older SFX but I feel like Frodo should have been portrayed closer to the way Bilbo is in The Hobbit.

Walk Among the Tombstones 7/10

I thought it was a decent enough crime thriller, with mostly interesting characters and a compelling enough mystery.

Better than

The Drop 5/10

Hardy and Gandolfini were great but the story itself wasn't very interesting. There wasn't much reason to care about anyone or what they did with their lives.

E30_vert 01-06-2015 11:38 AM

The interview 6/10 - terrible story, fearless leader of North Korea, didnt even look Korean
The Equalizer 9.1/10 - Denzel doesn't make a bad movie
The Gambler 7.7/10 - Wahlberg played an interesting character, was a little repetitive.. but ending was good.
A million ways to die in the west 2/10 - Absolutely outrageous, worst movie I've seen in a while.

9 for equalizer? I thought it was one of denzel's less enjoyable movies. It was entertaining, but it wasn't a good movie. I really didn't like how the director showed all the "implied" killing that he did. Like how they just show dead bodies and him walking through them or sth
