that's a good way to put it..

mine would be

fight club
blow
the wall
pulp fiction
inglorious bastards (actually pretty much any Quentin Tarantino movie)
scarface

inherent vice 0/10

^^^Interesting rating considering that there is a lot of buzz/hype around it along with favorable reviews. Noted!

Godzira: I forgot Fight Club and American History X in my all time favorites list. Thanks for the reminder.

book of life 6.5/10
if it was trying to be funny, it didn't a good job. great animations and very visually appealing though

604STIG 01-19-2015 12:27 PM

The Wedding Ringer: 8.5/10

Razgriz 01-21-2015 03:10 PM

I'm a HUGE PT Anderson fan; most of his movies are my all time favourites. I hatedThe Master though, and it sounds like this one may be similar.

I am going to watch it regardless (if it gets released here, there's no guarantee) but I am worried...

Verdasco 01-22-2015 01:19 PM

american sniper

9/10, why did i bring a date to watch this, i kept talking about it after the movie but wish i went with duddeeeeess.... fucking

Spoiler!

StylinRed 01-22-2015 02:46 PM

Whiplash 8/10

would've liked a bit more interaction with the other students/prof/his personal life

but it was really good regardless

Godzira 01-22-2015 03:48 PM

Does anyone like horror movies?

Are there any newer ones worth watching? Has anyone seen 'you're next' ?
the preview looked good.

I ask a lot of questions :P

white rocket 01-23-2015 08:39 AM

You're Next sucked balls. Predictable and meh. There is a "Scariest movies you've seen" thread somewhere with a few titles that I've never heard of that looked good.

Modern-day horror fanatic here

I really enjoyed Oculus and The Babadook. If you haven't seen them already, I'd recommend them

Nice, my wife and I love horror movies I'll check these out.

If you ever get a chance to check "Tusk" out........don't. I'm a Kevin Smith and horror fan, started off alright just kept getting worse and worse.

Zordon 01-23-2015 07:47 PM

Citizen 4 - 8.5/10 A raw documentary about Ed Snowden from the beginning. I knew about him and what he did but i wasn't aware of the blanket surveillance in the US.

Presto 01-23-2015 11:10 PM

Into the Woods 3/10

There were a few good parts, but it was a mess of a movie.

StylinRed 01-24-2015 02:17 AM

the imitation game 7/10 would have rated much higher if they gave a nod in the movie to Marion Rajewski but instead they made it seem like it was all Turing

You care about a movie giving a "nod" so much that you give it a lower rating?

StylinRed 01-24-2015 02:55 AM

yes, cuz the movie is trying to pass itself off as fact... when it comes to fact based fiction i expect the facts to dominate... even in the ending when they're giving actual facts about Turing and Enigma they were misleading...it's just soooo dishonest, grinds my gears

also if you flip to the 1st page a 7 is classified as
Quote:

7 = good but had the potential to be great
the imitation game would have been "great" for me if they left important pieces in the story line

haymura 01-24-2015 07:30 AM

odd thomas - 9/10 great movie for a low budget film. loved the ending.

Habboy 01-24-2015 07:38 AM

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
8/10
Sad the Hobbit trilogy is over. Not as good as the LOTR movies but still great stuff!!

6793026 01-24-2015 03:45 PM

taken 3
serioulsy, the script was ok, but the person who mofo edited the film SUCK balls.

camera angles were great but when you keep on cutting and editing and put in as much as possible, you don't get a chance to appreciate it. It's like a DJ who is shitty at mixing, you barely get into the groove and you're off to the next song.

7/10... i totally shut by brain off and it was decent.

jonwon 01-24-2015 04:37 PM

Taken 3 was dog chit, but still better than the second. The part when he drives the car in the elevator lol

rsx 01-25-2015 05:37 PM

Taken 3 - 5/10 I hated the movie franchise to begin with
The Little Death - 8/10 Thoroughly enjoyed it! Dark comedy about sex and stuff.
