6793026 05-22-2015 07:58 PM

fast 7 8/10
chappei 8/10
ex machina: 7.5/10 not a movie theatre movie so thank you StylinRed for suggesting not to see it there. very well executed but not that epic as i thought it would be. small production movie and for what's it worth, solid 7.5
project almanac; young kids, very cool and wtf concept... worked out well 7.5/10

6793026 05-23-2015 07:04 AM

welcome to me 7/10

*** dark comedy. there are jokes that are dry and there are times where it's just painful but heck, I had a few laughs. Trailer shows 1/2 the movie but that's really the whole premise of the story.

not a bad sit at home 'meh' type movie ... decent acting and script.

SkinnyPupp 05-23-2015 07:22 AM

Kingsman 5/10

It was funny in places. The special effects really bugged me though. Sam Jackson was great

Klondike 05-23-2015 10:41 PM

Mad Max 8.5/10

Shit was intense.

Spoiler!

twitchyzero 05-24-2015 12:39 AM

coherence 8/10
solid mind fuck...and i was pretty tensed up through it all
apparently majority of it was improv

the idea of AI's already being amongst us is really fucking with me right now. and im 100% sober.

but then again theres a small chance that we're all living in a simulation so?..

also need to watch mad max. like right now. skinny's little write up on it really makes me want to watch it.

.

Just saw Ex Machina, I give it 8/10.

I thought it was a great execution in terms of describing and being able to articulate and extract human traits. How we as society have become very self-centered individuals.

Fun movie if you watched the show. I'd give it 8/10.

6793026 06-07-2015 05:24 AM

pitch perfect 2... meh. good to see familiar faces. 7/10

Begin again. What an awesome movie. I adore Keira (it's her first signing gig also).... great script, amazing sound track. 9/10.
great cast; Adam Levine's first ever role in a movie (which he insisted on not getting paid, and Mark Ruffalo is amazing.

EndLeSS8 06-07-2015 08:13 PM

Inside Out (saw it through screening)

7.5/10

Good movie, got the feels for real a few times in the movie. Not as good as UP, but that's a really high bar

MAD MAX

8.5/10

Super intense, the movie is like a super long awesome music video with car wars

chin3se604 06-07-2015 08:22 PM

Mad Max
8/10

reminded me of the Book of Eli with more fire power

Mr.Money 06-08-2015 05:50 AM

mad max
8/10
I like how the action scenes played out and everyone wasn't invincible & unstoppable...lots of gore done proper with a crazy intro.

Dangerphoto 06-08-2015 06:42 AM

Spy - 9/10 Melissa McCarthy was spot on!

m3thods 06-10-2015 11:53 AM

Whiplash

Quite surprised how much I enjoyed it. 8.5/10

punkwax 06-10-2015 01:11 PM

Entourage.

8/10 - worth a watch but I won't tell anyone they have to get to a theatre and see it right away.

StylinRed 06-11-2015 12:27 AM

Kingsman 6/10 may have liked it more if I was still a pre-teen/teen, some cool scenes though

San Andreas 5/10 weak story, weaker acting, nice looking women, the special effects were nice but was a lot of the same thing just again and again...the final disaster scene was underwhelming, 2012 was a lot better

punkwax 06-11-2015 09:25 PM

I saw the boat/tsunami scene of San Andreas when the Rock was promoting it on a talk show and I thought the CGI was terrible... after that decided I would wait until it was available to rent.

StylinRed 06-12-2015 12:25 AM

Jurassic World...hmm rated compared with the other Jurassics...I'd say it's as good as Jurassic Park 2...corny, some laughs, cheesy, some action, Bryce Dallas Howard doesn't look as comical as she does in the trailer with that getup, she's damn sexy...it was alright could've been way better, it felt like they had a good base for a fine movie, but never followed through developing characters and story lines

6/10

Jaffray 06-12-2015 01:05 AM

Insidious 3!

Imo, I liked this chapter a lot better than the 2nd one. I wasn't really feeling the 2nd as there wasn't much.. i guess, scary scenes(?) or to the point to give me that 'jolt' when something pops up. Chapters 1 and 3 over 2 for sure.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

9/10

twitchyzero 06-13-2015 12:56 AM

blade runner 7.8/10
timeless, will require multiple viewing because they're some pretty deep themes

triangle 6.5/10
quite a few plot holes but still comes together decently at the end

jiro dreams of sushi 9/10
don't even need to be a foodie or like sushi to appreciate it...it's the epitome of japanese kaizen
