After almost 2 years there is a small rip on the left knee of my raw denim now.

Do you guys think I should have it repaired or leave it as is so its more worn and authentic?

fs604 08-10-2012 12:06 PM

i'd leave it for the worn look and repair (or just leave it) when it gets really bad

Expresso 08-10-2012 12:44 PM

If you want them to last you probably want to get on that earlier than later.

Energy 08-10-2012 12:46 PM

I know! I want a nice worn in look but also want them to last. See the dilemma?

PJ 08-10-2012 01:40 PM

I'd repair it.

After 2 years of characterizing your jeans, you don't want it to go to waste.

All it takes is for you to accidentally get your toe caught in the hole when you're pulling on your jeans, and the little rip will turn into a big one, if not, destroy the jeans right away.

repair.

Energy 08-10-2012 03:14 PM

Ok you guys convinced me I'm going to have it repaired.

ForbiddenX 08-13-2012 04:07 PM

Are APCs still on sale at HR?

Santofu 08-13-2012 06:30 PM

Is there any stores that carry WESC jeans beside Plenty?

G 08-13-2012 07:41 PM

^j2 carries wesc.

Also, anyone buying the new Naked and Famous limited collabs from dutil?

Energy 08-13-2012 09:45 PM

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Denim. . . – Well Spent

Energy 08-15-2012 12:35 PM

Yeah for raw denim it's the little details most people don't care about that matters.

areyounoob 08-15-2012 12:56 PM

:suspicious:
Interesting how they'd use a picture of APC denim instead of American Eagle/Hollister denim..

unit 08-15-2012 01:17 PM

the whole point is that hes comparing apples to apples... higher end denim.
why bother comparing high end to low end, the differences are obvious.

3sixteen is probably the best kept "secret" in raw denim right now.

Ah my mistake. I didn't read the entire article :okay:  Totally skipped over the part where he declared that he'll be comparing 3sixteens to APCs.

inspired by forbiddenx' pic, and also just got these hemmed and mailed back from self edge. they are iron heart 301s'. did away with the stacking, cleaned em up.
wore them probably 100-150 times. washed twice on the hand wash cycle (friend spilled a whole glass of beer on my lap, and got some puke on them once) and always hung dried.
