Wired my 6 ports today. Been driving around with them not working at all (removed air pump) and been taking it to 6k rpm at times. With them wired all I can say is wow what a difference when going to 6k. Pulls noticably harder through the gears, mainly 2nd, 1st gear just hits 6krpm instantly and then I shift. Just gotta get a header now to let my engine breath better, that stock manifold probably not helping my ported engine out at all. Still have not gone to 8k rpm yet.....gonna hold off on that for a while more I think.

I wouldn't go 8k on the manifold with a ported engine.That would choke the poor rex. Need a header now bad.

Yeah I know. I don't really plan on taking it to 8k rpm until after I redo my intake setup and move it to a better spot. I also am gonna wire my 6 ports better, I found that earlier today my front one came undone so I cut the back one as well. Back to no 6 ports. Gotta get it more secure.

On another note. The other day I noticed that my throttle cable came undone. I re-attached it though. It is pretty loose, has a bit of slack in it. I know I have a messed TPS but since that day my car has been idling worse then before.

Before it used to idle at 2krpm during warm up and was fairly smooth. Then it would drop down. When I would come to a stop while driving it would idle hunt around 1500rpm, although I could get it to idle at 1k rpm if I wanted to.

Now it idles at 1500rpm during warmup and sounds terrible. And never does the idle hunt, just idles at around 1100rpm, sometimes it goes down to around 800-900 and actually sounds nice and smooth, but while at 1100 or 1500 it sounds pretty poor. It drives perfectly still. Its just the idle. There might be a small vac leak though that I caused, I removed the ACV the other day just for a sec and then reinstalled it. I am pretty positive that I put all the vac lines back on, actually I am 100% positive.

PS. This all happened over night. I drove it the night before. Then the next morning I wired my 6 ports and removed/reinstalled acv and all that, then noticed the throttle cable. Started car and whent for a drive and noticed the idle problem. And does anyone know is there supposed to be 2 throttle cables? I know some cars have 2, I've only got 1 though, but probably supposed to be like that as I can not see anywhere else a 2nd one would goto/come from.

I pulled the sleeves out for the 5th and 6th ports.I got fed up with the wiring them.

Are you referring to the cruise control cable? Its mounted in same area as the throttle cable.
