oh, stupid computer, I wrote like a page of stuff of gear ratios and stuff, and then i had to log in again.........POS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here's the link so you can solve all of your gear ratio/top speed squabbling...
http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/2catalog.cgi?cat=2&part=6
...in response to your question about my sig, CanadianRX7, my car's previous owner's son fucked with the turbo, and blew it up, so the father decided to remove the turbo assembly, replace the manifold, and get a new hood so essentially, my car is n/a, but it has turbo susp. and turbo stuff as well. I say SOON to get turbo, because I want to get a turbo soon. any Ideas on which one I should get?
NASHMAN.......learn to type.. , and also it's okay that you talk about your supra, because everyone on this forum knows that in the end, rotaries are better...am I right, or am I right fellas?
about the top speed, I pulled 245 kph in mine going from campbell river to courtney, and that was 5th at like 4500 rpms so yeah........275 is definately possible. I think that's all I wanted to type........DORIFTO!!!!!!!!

but as i said be for you gass will suffer

the cool thing about the turbo trans is the 5th gear will not burn as much gas as if you where to use the na trans it not huge btu it is there
yeah the trannies are interchangeable

Yea post that 1/4 track info asap!!!

yea sorry bcty the gears are 4.30 some guy on the forum posted the wrong shit...

yea the speed is possible but not with a stockish car...5th gear hardly pulls on a n/a and it is pretty much just a gas saver gear...

also that site says the the 3.9 gears have the highest top end but those gears only come stock in a automatic,... and WTF is up with this:
TII
4.10 2600rpm 35mph 61mph 88mph 122mph 160mph
n/a
4.10 2500rpm 36mph 63mph 93mph 126mph 181mph

same gear ratio's different speeds??

this guess but most likely ture

the turbo in the rex might possbly run out of puff and then you change gaers soon

caues the gear ratio are the same but the 5th is taller gear then the na

revign the crap out of na's are the only way to get power turbos are not

as in my car na shift right befor red 6500 but in turbos its 5500 then the trubo is just pushing hot air and hot air does not make power

and you can flame abotu the supra all you want it just comparson

or maybe it is type o

another diffent car is the 1990 ford thunder bird super charged

it gear's are insane

1st 3.75
2nd 2.32
3rd 1.43
4th 1.00
5th 0.75

final 2.73 that crazy

top speed on this car whiht it's gearing is 272 mph that is crazy

oh and one other thign that might be diffent is weight of car if they were drag time's

ok get this.. these are the speeds... i think RB tested them...

4.30 160mph
4.10 181mph
3.90 205mph

they tested those speeds on a stock car on the salt flats
thats pretty sweet.. i need those 3.90 gears i am trying to find the site where is says that but no luck.. it is where i ordered my Bonez Race Pipe from... if anyone has that address anymore.. it had rx7 in it.. i dunno.. off to work!

in oder for the 3.90 gears to work that great the car whould have to have no rev limtor caues the rev limter will slow that bad boy down

aka the car has bean moded some how or the rex does not have limtor

That's OK, it's only temperary until I get my new 'stuff' from Corksport.
Besides Neo was kind enough to shrink it down for me and I was just getting bored of the old one.
P.S.- I found out tonight that the Port Alberni 1/4 Drags are on Saturday, August 17th and only cars running faster than 12.5sec are going to be there on Sunday the 18th.
So, who's going on Saturday now?...bcty?...CanadianRX7?...think-Battle of the 7's
I also know it's at the Airport and tech starts at 1pm.

NICE saturday is even better!!!!!!1 im down for sure!!!!!!

Also on another note...tonight me and i friend were coming home from a party and i desided i wanted to max out my car...i got 230km/h at 6 grand in 5th gear......i couldnt see it going much faster then 260km/h with stock gears (flat road!!!)....also BCTY on your speedo the needle would of been close to 0 to get that speed..it would be just on the first letter of the mp/h and km/h thats written on the bottom of the gauge...my car is stock and slow though remember...even my cats

no the GTUs and the GTU have the EXCACT same engine and power..

86-88 n/a
146 hp
138 lb-ft

89-92 n/a ( the gtus is a 89)
160 hp
140 lb-ft

only difference are the gears and weight reduction in the GTU and GTUs

well the car didnt gain power with the gTUs it just gained power with the series change..

i dunno much but the changed the rotor compression, changed the 5th and 6th ports to be activated by air pump and not backpressure via exhaust...higher redline..i dont really know much else.. i havent really looked into it that much
