EEEEEEE! Well shit I say shit! I love this driving thing again. Its so...neat. :D The weather is awesome, the car is kickin ass, just cruising around is so much more fun then I remember it. :D And STILL no tickets, and thats with me and Coal having cruised around together with him in his new red beast, so the gods are smiling on us for now.

I'm probably gonna come to Nanaimo on Friday night with coal the Northfield Parking Lot where they are all heading to Vic, I am not going to Vic though so if anyone wants to hang out Friday night or whatever I can meet ya at Northfield at 9pm or Timmies shortly after that or something. I dunno, I'm coming down either way so just show up.

Lemon, I hear you got your DSM back and some cash as well...shit, sounds like you got the better of that deal. Good stuff.

Anyways....see you all later, maybe Friday night.

all should come to vic to make this cruise kick ass :)

oh yeah im in the process of getting a SAFC :)

91TII 04-08-2004 12:11 PM

I would come to Vic, but I cannot really afford to use that much gas in one weekend, and I also don't really feel like cruising all the way down to vic. So gonna just hang around Nanaimo maybe. Some other time I will come down though.

Oh yeah, when me and Coal whent to Vic to get his stealth I found my clutch has gotten a little worse I think. It will hold and not slip if I hold it around 8psi, but if I take it up to 10-12psi I can feel it starting to slip, sucks ass. It still gets up to speed insanely fast at 8psi though, but oh well, once I get me tranny and ACT installed it should be noticably more intense. :D

Lemon 04-08-2004 12:36 PM

yeah im lining up a clutch soon too and an 8lb flywheel :p, oh yeah the safc is mine now just gotta wait for him to mail it :D

Nightwalker 04-08-2004 02:06 PM

I'd say the cars gods are smiling down on our red "pull me over" mobiles as well :D No static so far!

Lay easy on the driving for now if your clutch has already started to slip. I call a drunk fest at Ty's place friday night

If that happens I'll skip Vic and come :)

Btw, met a new guy, Adam at Crapy Tire, seems to know most of the other 7 dudes, says he's good friends with you tommy :)

Came in looking for a scan tool or something since my check engine light turned on, we looked it over and chatted, nothing seems to be wrong with the car whatsoever, I know how to self diagnose that now, so I'll pull up the code when I get the time.

t0mmy 04-08-2004 06:53 PM

Adam is a cool guy, he'll be joining the rx7 ranks soon enough. Your car OBDII? No need for a scanner really, just grab a volt meter and start probing. You usually can get away with the hold max types where you can grab the peak waves of the O2 sensor.

bcty 04-08-2004 11:34 PM

only cool ppl only at my place i work till 9 on friday let me know what u guys wanan do

The-RX7 04-08-2004 11:54 PM

Justin I forgot to tell you, stop by work if you are heading out to Nanaimo tommorow, I might join up.

Nightwalker 04-09-2004 03:48 AM

I'mnot sure, I think it's OBD1 being pre-96 and all. But yeah, the volt meter is how I'll be doing it, I even found a page with spiffy pictures showing what to do and what the codes are online.

I'm interested to know what it is since the car seems to be running 100% perfectly except a loose connection for part of the ECS which makes it not work right when you start sometimes. I'll work that out.

Its been like that since I got it, I knew the clutch was sorta bad when I got it off Mic. It holds fine through the lower gears, just in 4rth if you get on it at 10-12psi once you hit around 5500rpm it starts to slip, just gotta let back off the throttle a bit and it grips up again. I have a clutch now waiting for install, but cannot use this tranny with it. Gonna have to get a tranny in better shape otherwise this one is gonna get torn up and blow on me. Oh well, it will hold, seeing as how I am mostly granny driving now.

Comin to Nanaimo tonight still, meeting up with Ty at 9:30 at Save On Foods at Woodgrove, I will be at Northfield lot for a bit before that though. All should come out for a bit. :D See ya all then.

You can't extract the codes?

What kind of clutch setup do you have?

I have a nice ACT sitting in my bedroom just waiting to go in! I cannot wait, that thing will grip like a mutha! :D

NanaimoRx-7 04-09-2004 05:43 PM

Alright, just a quick question. That's some pretty heavy load slip at 5500 RPM in 4th right...should Justin be worried about heat scoring or damaging his flywheel in some manner by doing this? I know personally, I'd restrain myself from going that high instead of letting off and getting back into it.

5500 RPM in 4th eh? Justin I can almost smell my money ;)
