reason i said the setup like that is because in 1st picture, rim light on model's right, and main light on his left to expose his face. as for background, that shows in the 2nd picture.
looking at the photos again, im guessing its rimlight/main light right of camera/ fill light bottom up shooting chin area to flatten image but only used in the first picture and maybe leather jacket picture.
i dont understand how you can do it without moving your lights at all though

60" Umbrella splitting the light in front and behind subject.
50" Softbox to camera right at 45 degree to subject
Kick light right hand side behind subject with a feather off of the shoulder camera left.
Various effects achieved by using some or all of the lights at once.

On a side note, I created those arrows in Photoshop and now I can't remove them whenever I draw a line. Anyone know/remember where that setting is?
I can't seem to find it at all.

Denny, the top left one has too many harsh shadows for me. I think you would have done better with the pockets of light behind her w/o the flash.
Top Right: If her right arm wasn't hanging straight down she'd look skinnier (not that she isn't skinny already). Have it away from the body. Someone else once taught me this .
Bottom Left: Angle is a bit weird for me.
Bottom right: My favorite out of the bunch. Had you backed up a bit or zoomed out I think it would've been stronger. I'm not digging her eye make up.

I can't seem to find it at all. | Are you using the line tool to make those arrows?
If so, you have to convert back from shapes to line

I think I should have used a reflector to lighten the shadows instead. Quote:

Someone else once taught me this . | Ya I read in a posing book that arms shouldn't be dangling down but I see it a lot in those modeling agency portfolios. It probably would have look better if she put it over her shoulder. What other things can you do with dangling arms?
I wish her legs were just a little bit closer too. Quote:

I'm not digging her eye make up. | Ya I let the makeup artist decide what type of makeup would look best. She did a great job with the photo shoot last time. The makeup is nice, but my photos weren't high fashion enough for it. Quote:

1. Subject and Background land in the same gray area. Use more lights to separate next time
2. Her right eye is getting cut off by the light. You should have turned her head a bit more towards the light because I don't think you wanted any fill light from the right.
3. Expression is boring, eyes look dead
4. Just plain scary |

i have to say otherwise!
i think its a very cool photo, maybe it would look even nicer in black and white? i think the expression and lighting add to the mood of the photo.
ofcourse thats my own opinion though
