thats good for them
someone that can challenge the horrible wade redden
it shocks me how horrible he has been
LOL

good?

theres no reason for them to unload cap unless they're picking up better players

derek morris is NOT worth 3 players

Dominic Moore has been traded to Sabres for Steve Moore.

411ken 03-04-2009 11:09 AM

It's not like those 3 are doing much for them anyway..good move for the rangers!

Tim Budong 03-04-2009 11:10 AM

yea
the rangers just wanted to unload cap space

Gt-R R34 03-04-2009 11:13 AM

to many minor trades. =)

Chairman Kaga 03-04-2009 11:13 AM

Rick Ball on Team 1040: It's official. Canucks did not make any deals today.

ChaKo 03-04-2009 11:16 AM

the canucks right now are a great team, but i cant help but feel let down by gillis. him not making a move sorta defeats the purpose of signing sundin for less than the offered price.

Tim Budong 03-04-2009 11:16 AM

something i expected
dull trade day..
must suck for tsn
no DRAMZZZ

but this is a GM who is the man..keeping the hyenas in the media LEASHED and calm and NOT giving them ANYTHING

like this..

MarkyMark 03-04-2009 11:17 AM

Thats a little dissapointing...yeah were on a roll and all but were not a cup contender quite yet...2nd rounders in the playoffs perhaps.

Grandmaster TSE 03-04-2009 11:18 AM

yea, i thought he would at least pick up a 3rd liner

canucks r a great team as of now..
but are not stanley cup contenders

we dont have physical presence

411ken 03-04-2009 11:22 AM

I don't think the canucks are a GREAT team as you both said. They are good but not GREAT. You wouldn't put Detroit/Canucks and say they are both Great...but ya, all I care about now is making hte playoffs and see how it all pans out then.

thank you for that. i guess we need at least one or two of these not contenders, need physical presence posts on every page during the trade deadline.

Tim Budong 03-04-2009 11:23 AM

Erik Christensen to ducks for Eric O Dell

and 1040..someone flipped the TV switch on
HAHAHA

suprasian 03-04-2009 11:25 AM

well i figured this would happen. calgary got better but lost alot of speed in lombardi and prust. leopold is a sick pick up. rangers got bigger and should help the likes of drury and gomez. phx got younger and faster, they could be the next chicago in 2 years.

i for one am happy gillis didnt do a thing. chemistry is just as important as adding an impact player if not more. you don't wanna shake up the core midseason when you're running hot
good job gillis. you go get jaybo in the summer

411ken 03-04-2009 11:26 AM

I checked the canucks forum and now that the deadline is over, everyone is saying thta they wouldn't trade bieksa for him at all hahaah... there's even a bandwagon during the deadline

411ken 03-04-2009 11:27 AM

I agree with Phoenix, they will be good as they have the speed, talent. They just need a goalie as well. Maybe they'll take raymond for Doan haha

Chairman Kaga 03-04-2009 11:28 AM

Flames got stronger while we stay the same.

We won't make it out of the 1st round.

id say any team that is able to squeeze past the playoff cutoff is good, but the canucks are a little better than the current teams fighting for the last few spots. detroit is on the other end of the spectrum, i would even go as far as to call them legendary. sure san jose is doing better right now, but this is just an amazing year for them. they have not enjoyed the consistency the wings have had since forever.

and im on it...
i admit this fact and i hate bandwagoners
ahhahaha
i do know Jaybo is fantastic, a better skater than beiksa
just that..i didnt feel good about this

trip 03-04-2009 11:32 AM

i dont mind that we didnt make a splash, we can try to get bouwee at the end of the season.

We're not? What about Bieksa and O' Brien? Mitchel is there and Ohlund is around to do some damage. Bernier will drop the gloves and so will Kesler Burrows and Pyatt. You sir are a serious bandwagoner. Waht about Horidchuk? almost forgot about him.

411ken 03-04-2009 11:33 AM

You can't go wrong with a 25yr D guy that's still to hit his prime..

Anyways, I wonder what Sundin is thinking right now.. probably saying to himself that he just lost out on extra 1 mill or so hahahahah
