b0unce. [?] 03-04-2009 12:02 PM

i can see boston doing extremely well...

Tim Budong 03-04-2009 12:05 PM

a legitimate top 6 forward
center to be exact
22g+31A this season

Noir 03-04-2009 12:07 PM

:lol nothing changes. No big splashes, just some minor notable adjustments here and there. The dynamics of the conference standings still remains the same.

What a waste of a day.

thats from last season my friend
o sullivan has 37 points this year
he's a solid 60 pt player, plays both ends, good young player... has some baggage though as he held out of la before he signed his current contract

Gt-R R34 03-04-2009 12:10 PM

thanks darth.

Gh0stRider 03-04-2009 12:18 PM

Tim Budong 03-04-2009 12:22 PM

Kotalik...

burke's press conference is awesome
HAHA
regardless..edm is beefing upfront!

Grandmaster TSE 03-04-2009 12:41 PM

damn, quite a bit of stacking on edmonton's part
it'll be funny if they didn't make the playoffs

DanHibiki 03-04-2009 12:54 PM

I dun understand the LA, CAR, EDN, trade.

Why does Carolina want Cole back? Especially after a crappy season.

Why would LA give up a young good player? Is this anyway to be rebuilding?

And Jason Williams isn't as young as O'Sullivan and seems to be affected by injuries since his numbers are good this year.

lilaznviper 03-04-2009 01:06 PM

hopefully gillis can sign ohlund since he didnt make a move to trade ohlund

choda 03-04-2009 01:17 PM

the only team that made an improvement imo was calgary getting jokinen and leopold...now the NW title is going to be a bit harder to get

lol I don't think that it'll happen unless Calgary goes into a huge slump!

I just want the playoffs!

hotjoint 03-04-2009 01:48 PM

calgary and boston made big moves today

Harvey Specter 03-04-2009 01:59 PM

Some interesting trades today and tt wasn't like we were going to catch the Flames anyways.

LsquareD 03-04-2009 02:09 PM

I just woke up.. All excited that we made atleast a trade. Nope, Nothing :(

I had a wack ass dream that Mats Sundin was traded to Calgary. LMAO. Sooo fucked up.

quasi 03-04-2009 02:26 PM

I don't really mind the Canucks not doing any trades. I would have loved to get another forward or Dman but like Gillis I really do believe not at the cost of the future for a rental. Calgary made some big moves for sure and there team on paper is pretty damm good. They gave up quite a bit though especially moving forward to next season and the season after that.

Lets hope this team keeps playing like they've been playing and Luongo reaches he's capable of hitting. If things roll that way anything can happen.

rb 03-04-2009 02:50 PM

Keith Carney
Brent Sopel
Eric Weinrich
Brian Smolinski
Sean Brown
Mika Noronen

The Canucks dont exactly have a great track record of making good deadline deals. Glad they didn't do anything stupid just for the sake of doing something.

AzNightmare 03-04-2009 02:50 PM

So when are Canucks planning to push for the cup anyway? Seems like every year, they are aiming to just make it to the playoffs and "do well" there.

I think this year we have a really solid chance to go far in the playoffs. But then again that could just be me being really hopeful lol. I think this team has promise to make it far. Good solid top two lines and a healthy D core will allow us to go far. Assuming Luongo is at 100%

Barring a miracle run, I'd say we'd only amount to 2nd round at best. Even with the assumption of Luongo at 100%.

I say this because I'm still not convinced the Sedins' game doesn't have the longevity to survive a deep Play Off run. You can only get away with so much puck-cycling at these times.

adding to this...Burrows goes to those dirty corners and fight for positioning to evolve the Sedin's cycle and make it BETTER. Only when we do hit the post season will we ever know how this team has evolved from the first game vs the flames to the post season.

There are some games left vs the triggers from the deadline like Dallas, CGY and Edmonton left. ALthough we cant get really compare Playoff Hockey vs Regular Season Hockey, those games will determine how those changes made will effect how the Canucks should play come playoff time

Harvey Specter 03-04-2009 05:14 PM

Lol, god TSN loves sucking Flamers dick. They think the Flamers can win the cup or a Flames Vs. Devils final because of the trade today.
