I'm scared of facing the Ducks in the playoffs... Assuming they finish off SJ, who would win in a DET/ANA series?

The way Hillar is playing ANA will win

Harvey Specter 04-24-2009 02:19 PM

I really feel bad for Pyatt but I think he'll make a big impact once he's back in the lineup.

silk 04-24-2009 02:21 PM

pylon comming back for round 2 ?
who is the odd man out ? Hansen ?

Not really racist! 04-24-2009 03:25 PM

Any injury updates on Salo and Sundin?

Hondaracer 04-24-2009 03:45 PM

Sundin is fine he was skating today and had been earlier

Salo however was not

trancehead 04-24-2009 04:01 PM

Probably. But I'm hoping Raymond gets cut. Yeah, watching him knock down Crombeen was fucking *amazing* but the way he runs around like bambi learning to stand pisses me off.

DanHibiki 04-24-2009 04:06 PM

Sundin said day to day. May miss round 2 dunno yet

Tim Budong 04-24-2009 04:58 PM

And they're losing 4-0!

Now Tortorella looks like an even bigger idiot!

are you kidding me?

raymonds probably playing some of the best hockey in a nucks uniform he's ever played, what he brings to his shifts is essential to playoff hockey, chasing down the puck in the offensive zone on dump ins/clears, getting the puck into the zone, etc.

DanHibiki 04-24-2009 05:21 PM

Raymond is still young. He'll become a good player. You gotta be patient with development. Imagine if we got rid of the Sedins back when everyone was complaining bout them.

Harvey Specter 04-24-2009 05:48 PM

Tortorella got beer dumped on him by some Caps fan, LOL and crazy goal from Ovechkin at the end of the 2nd period.

snowball 04-24-2009 05:53 PM

Mason Raymond looks like Ryan Kesler 3 years ago, give him time and he'll get better.

+1
he's improved quite a bit from the beginning of the season where he wouldn't pass enough or tried to go around defencemen but ended up getting sandwiched with the boards

shawn79 04-24-2009 06:48 PM

i saw steve benier on hamilton and dunsmuir today 4:08pm :o

I can't remember which game, but there was one penalty kill where the puck was in the STL end for a good while because Raymond was using his speed forechecking from the blue line in. Behind the net, he stripped the puck from the Dman. As they were breaking out, he alone nearly stripped the puck from the forward and drove the puck back behind the net.
In our end, he was blocking shots, doing almost everything that Kesler was doing this series.

Personally, I think Hansen is the odd man out, and when Sundin is ready, Hordichuk might be the next guy to sit.

Grandmaster TSE 04-24-2009 07:44 PM

the only thing about raymond is he gotta learn to pass
of course he can do things himself, but there are clearly lots of opportunity to pass it off and get in better position to receive the puck

game 2 Raymond was on a tear.

and all depends who we play the next round, if we play the flames we need a Hordichuk in the lineup
