the Canucks went from #11 to #3, so it's not like we don't know what it's like to have our backs against the wall.
This is what bugs me - people keep saying what a comeback the blues have had this year but what about Vancouver!?!??!!? No one in January would've guessed the result of the regular reason with us winning the division so BOTH teams know exactly that it's like to be down and out | Tons of people gave us credit for playing lights out from February onwards. In fact, lots was made of the fact that this series was between the two teams that had the most points since the all-star break. I think the Blues had not lost two in a row since January... and for us to demolish them in four straight is quite extraordinary. Quote:

Heading to Vegas for a show. | So you missed the end of game 4 too, huh? I watched the game at the Planet Hollywood sportsbook, but then had to leave after regulation to go watch a show too. Didn't get to watch what sounds like was an epic overtime... Quote:

What's nuts is the Hawks game attendance was at 104% and they hold well over 23,000 people. | Well, if GM Place could hold those numbers, I guarantee we could do the same... Quote:

What do you guys think of giving the top 2 teams in the east/west an automatic pass into the 2nd round? | How's that supposed to work? Only the top 7 teams in each conference makes it? No way... that's crazy talk. :p Quote:

They didn't need the blackout last time I was in Chicago - nobody in the media gave a shit about the games anyway. Canucks were playing a game IN CHICAGO while I was there... tried to find it on TV or radio, nada... tried to find results on the news the next morning, nada. Even the all-sports station talked about nothing but college hoops - no Hawks scores at all, let alone any kind of recap.
To see how it's turned around in so few years is truly amazing... and it's great that they can pack the place out without resorting to gimicks and giveaways. Hockey fans there are rabid and love their Hawks, but for so long they've had nothing to cheer about. | I remember just a few years ago... they couldn't GIVE the tickets away. When you went on Ticketmaster and ordered tickets, the prices were $0.00. LoL! I tried myself, so I know that as a fact... Quote:

Ya no kidding! Who blacks out games in their own market! | That's generally what blackouts are for... you blackout the local market to try and encourage the viewer to go and buy tickets and watch the game in person. Of course, this is only applicable to teams that have attendance problems... it doesn't make sense to do it for games that are sold out. |
