Holy shit, 30 seconds left.....wow.

BlackV62K2 04-28-2009 06:18 PM

Canucks the only remaining Canadian team left in the playoffs :D. That's a change for once. Bring the cup back home Canucks!!!

Tim Budong 04-28-2009 06:19 PM

whatever it was
that clutch save to keep the puck in the zone overshadows EVERYTHING ELSE
this is THE PLAY of the playoffs so far

InvisibleSoul 04-28-2009 06:24 PM

LoL... that's twice in the series the Devils have lost the game in the last minute of the 3rd period... epic fail!

Soundy 04-28-2009 06:24 PM

Okay, quoted just because page 384 needed some dressing-up!

Next season (2009/10) won't be the big question mark with the cap - it will be based on this season's revenues, the vast bulk of which come from season ticket sales and TV deals, and that money was all collected well before the economy tanked.

TV deals and season tix for next season are likely gonna be hurting though (without a major turnaround REAL quick), which means the revenues for next season will tank, and the cap for the following year (2010/11) will probably take a nosedive.

All those GMs that signed big-money long-term deals last summer or before are gonna be WAY up shit creek over the next 12 months...

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Brent sutter the NJ Devils coach? and the Flames GM is Darryl Sutter?

And no way for Calamari... He'll be one overpaid player this coming offseason.. Whoever signs him to big money is stupid

he is at the moment still unknown
simply for the fact, he was yanked from position w/o reason for Oillie Jokinen
you can truely say, they traded Ollie for Camalleri

Why do you say that? He works hard and is a productive player regardless of who he plays with.

Hondaracer 04-28-2009 07:45 PM

although i was a fan of camalari in LA, and he put up good numbers with Calgary.. i dunno.. after this season i think less of him as a player then i did in LA, i dont think he would be a good fit with the nucks

SumAznGuy 04-28-2009 07:54 PM

In my work place hockey pool, I am the only one that still have all of my players going into round 2 with the Canes beating the Devils.
Also, none of my players are playing against each other, so I might have a chance to have all my players in the semi finals. Yay.

HonestTea 04-28-2009 07:57 PM

CAPS WIN!!

HELLL YEAHH!

7Ma? 04-28-2009 08:01 PM

So Caps and the Pens......this is gonna be a crazy series...

I'm actually with you. When he was in LA I liked him quite a bit but after this year with Calgary for some reason I just ain't so down with him anymore and no it isn't because he was on the Flames.

Tim Budong 04-28-2009 08:44 PM

Camalleri will leave the flames
i think they screwed him
he was fine the way it was there

DEVILS!!! NOOooooo!

AzNightmare 04-28-2009 09:27 PM

Wow, Brodeur let in a softie on that last one. You would think the big allstar goalie would of stopped that one with so much stake on the line. Bad luck.

And what's with NHL.com. It's so slow in updating. And a few hours ago, the series were all reset and shown as Tied 0-0. With all the original 8 round 1 matchups.

Uh..what? How does that work? 9pm starts? I think that is EST. Canucks.com still show 6pm start time.

MG1 04-28-2009 09:34 PM

Yes, those times are eastern 6 + 3 = 9

SumAznGuy 04-28-2009 09:34 PM

Yes, those are eastern time. Minus 3 hours for Pacific time.

they can't afford him and Jokinen, and Jokinen still has a year left on his contract. I"ll pass on him too, he was a no-show in the playoffs. If the Sedins don't re-sign, Gillis should go hard after Hossa, long-term. There is a proven playoff performer.

wahyinghung 04-28-2009 10:07 PM

All games in HD CBC ?

Harvey Specter 04-28-2009 10:19 PM

double post.

Harvey Specter 04-28-2009 10:20 PM

I don't mind the 6pm starts but hate the 5pm starts.
