its just misa campo with a photoshopped canucks jersey lol |
I think Ducks might take the series but if it goes to game 7 the Sharks will take it. And I think the Hawks might be able to finish off the Flames tonight. |
K, now I'm going through some serious withdrawal syndromes and my playoff beard is almost in full effect. |
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=276668 Thomas, Backstrom, and Steve Mason are the finalist for the Top Goalie award. Gay, cause no Lu and Backstrom wasn't good enough to get his team into the playoffs. |
Thomas will win it. |

Brashear got 6 games for his incidents in Game 6. Betts doesn't get injured he's not getting 6 games..Colin Campbell has weird criteria for suspensions..although Brash is a repeat offender |

Hahah 4 for 4, and 2 teams in the right number of games so far (bruins, pens) I predicted Devils in 7. But the other 3 remaining games, I'm not going to get the correct number of games. But I predicted Sharks, Flames, and Caps to win. |

apparently there was a minor dust up btwn Kesler and Bieksa at practice today - source team 1040 |
^ Well they have to keep things interesting because it must be getting soooo boring for the team without a game for almost a week now. |
Listening to team 1040 today never realized Kip has a 2-11 record in his last 13 Playoff Road Games lol |
Salo and Sundin recovered. VIA Twitter :D |

Backstrom had 37 wins, 24 losses, and 8 OTL. GAA 2.33 SV% .923 and 8 S/O Luongo had 33 wins, 13 losses and 7 OTL. GAA 2.34 SV% .920 and 9 S/O. Numbers were very close, but the difference is Luongo was the difference in the Nucks making the playoffs and Backstrom wasn't for Minny. Canucks went from being in 11th place to winning the NW division. And Luongo played 17 games less than Backstrom. That's why I "think" Luongo deserves the nomination over Backstrom. |
Really? Luongo was the reason the Canucks made the playoffs? Not the play of Kesler/Burrows, Sedins, D core? The Canucks were playing well as a whole - that's why they made it into the playoffs. Luongo was good but he did not have to steal many games. If Minny can't make it into the playoffs with the numbers Backstrom pulled, then that's the rest of the team's fault, not Backstrom's; he did everything he could. |

Luongo is a big reason why the Canucks made the playoffs. In the 28 games Luongo did not have a descision in, they were 12-14-3. The players didn't change. Burrows, Kesler, twins, and D were the same. Lines might have changed, but for the most part the team was the same before, during, and after Luongo's injury. While it is true, every player had some impact on the Nucks making the playoffs, don't kid yourself. The Nucks would not be in the playoffs if they had to rely on the backups they had in the 24 games that Lu was out for with the injury. In the 13 games that Backstrom did not have any descion in, what was Minny's record? 3-9-1. So, yeah the team was very weak without Gaborik. But looking at his numbers, his winning% is lower than Lu, and his SV% and GAA was marginally better than Lu. |
