Very Prominent discount store in downtown Vancouver / New west / Langley:

There are rats in the "snack bar"
Rats in the warehouse
Bedbugs in the linen dept [ even in the new quilts ]

Oasis car wash.. from a long time ago...

If they find money in the car they keep it. Its called "scoops" if anyone says anything it simply "must have gotten sucked up in the vaccuum". I used to double my wage there everyday with scoops.

Berz out.

dennys on davie: when it gets busy servers will just rinse used glasses with water from the tap and reuse the cups....

this is when i worked for the company before,,

all cable channels , every single channel (incl. porn, chinese ,etc etc), employee package is only $26 (cost price)
ppv is half price also,, so cable is a rip off

int. on the other hand was full price for employees.

when u call the cable company, as for a credit for a PPV movie, they can tell how long you have watched the movie / show for...

2nd)
the first post is right,, cables @ futureshop is like 1000 markup, computers hardly anything, sometimes below cost. TV is about 25%, car audio 50-100%..

audio installs. are also 50%..
(then again, if u go to http://www.audioheaven.ca/ (in Toronto) u can get compustars (new models) installed for $449, so paying $700 at sounds good and other places is a rippoff)

Culture_Vulture 09-02-2008 09:52 PM

not personal, but from friends:

Oriental Buffet has a REALLY dirty kitchen and the chefs don't get along...so that spells disaster.

Pearl Fever gets all their drink mixes from Bubble World.

When telemarketers call... how to get rid of them steps:

1- say you were just heading out the door
2- they will ask when a good time to call back is.. reply with:
3- sat/sun at around 11pm (sat/sun most tele-places close at 4 .. IFF they are even open that day)

hahah I hope someone have something to reveal about working in a vietnamese restaurant......

keifun 09-02-2008 11:14 PM

from working at a car rental company:

- The rental agents will lure you into paying more for extra coverage and/or for vehicle upgrades. They get incentives and commission from that.

- the rental cars gets only get one oil change done and thats around 30k kms. After that, they either sell it, auction it off, return it to manufacturer or they just buy it out and keep on renting it.

Well an easier way is to get on Canada's new DNCL (Do Not Call List) telemarkets must obey, so If your on this list you'll pretty much or should not get any calls from telemarketers (B2B exempt). http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/dncl.htm
Effective Sept 30th 08

RIGGED

Everyone knows it, but I just wanted to get it off my chest

Selanne_200 09-03-2008 01:15 AM

Mmm

Working in triple O's
-The meat patties could sometimes sit in a heat chute for 2 hrs+ and still get served, we just put more sauce on the burger
- Same with the fries, we just refry em
- The glaze used for the donuts gets reused at the end of the day and i have never seen it being dumped out completely. It's always a top-up

General Paint
- A gallon of paint retailing for 50 dollars+ only costs a contractor around 20 dollars to buy.
- You do not need to have any identification and still be able to get contractor pricing for paint if you know the account #
