This was over 6 years ago...when I used to work at one of the bubble tea place in richmond where they have those flower "camomile" tea, there was a time where I found the dried camomile flower were INFESTED with some sort of tiny bugs. I don't know how long they had been there since the bugs is very light whitish color and blend together with the camomile flower. I showed it to the boss, and instead of throwing it away, he put everything in the oven and baked it 20 mins and put them back into the jar for serving. Turns out it was a regular thing as well. They said most of those dried flower often comes with these tiny bugs (from the supplier) Needless to say, I never touch any of the dried "flower" team again... Btw...the place where I worked was one of the cleanest bubble tea place in richmond |

when shipping through any major shipping company like fedex or ups, do not place fragile on the box because it will be kicked, thrown dropped smashed etc. |
I think some things are better left unknown. |

In February. Goverment bodies around Canada need to spend their budget. Use it or lose it policy. 1 Department spent 6 million in February. Where is the inventory now? Still sitting at the distribution warehouse. Never will be used. Next February, this 1 department will do the same. And yes.. just 1 department. Thousands of other departments across Canada that need to spend it or lose it. |
good thread guys... The ground beef used in wendys chilli's is leftovers of the burgers that didnt sell the night before. i heard a story of somebody wiping the top part of a burger bun around a toilet seat of a public washroom and then served to a customer. |

As for the cost of living increase, that was added to your pay cheque in February or April, not August. Can't remember which month for sure since it's been over 8 years since I was in the union, but definately not August. Do you have a copy of your union handbook? I'd advise you to read it cover to cover to protect yourself. Supervisors/managers there are stupid or lazy. |
should show this thread to the fda, iso, and bbb lol |

I remember one of my mom's department's at Canada Post has an office supply/upkeep budget. At the end of the year, so they don't lose their budget, the re-carpet the entire office, and order whole new sets of brand new chairs. As for Sun Sui Wah, I personally don't do it, it's how the chinese chefs store the mango pudding. |

do they charge more than listed price? I've gotten better deals by walking then reservations, taking no shows at discounted price or free upgrade becuase they didn't have the size I wanted, i've never been charged more than listed price there is no discount through reservations, you get the car at listed price and making sure the car is there when you get there I would only make res if I definitely need a car on certain day |

though not intentional, when my sister worked at wendys they had a problem with their frosty machine. it wasn't pouring fast enough and got gradually slower. finally they drained it and cleaned it out only to discover a band-aid had been clogging it up. i worked maintenance at a golf course. in the center of the course was a sewage treatment facility with ponds which slowly broke up the sewage from the ajoining subdivision. after the final pond had been treated, it was then used to irrigate the golf course. i used to cringe and then chuckle at the rich old farts that would attempt to drink from the sprinklers on a hot day. if a golfer hit one of us while working on the fairway and gave no warning, we would place the ball in the rough and stomp it into the ground. if it was an expensive ball we would just pocket it. when they came looking for their ball we would send them on a wild goose chase. crazybread/cinnisticks make the most profit for pizza places. its just pizza dough which costs almost nothing. |
richmond bubbletea places... i've trained in a few places and they always reuse those tiny side dishes that come with ur food. one of the kitchen ppl i used to work with, when waitresses clean the tables n brings the dishes to the back to wash, even if customers have ate a little bit of the sidedish, they would just twirl it with their fingers n put it out with the next set of food |
^^ never eating those sidedishes again. |
lordco is about a 500% markup from cost, employees get about 70% off, and your part you are getting from the warehouse has most likely been dropped and/or tumbled around in the back of a truck. |
