wow.
you guys seem to enjoy the new DLC and Survivor Mode.
I haven't touched that game in a month.
Lets see what all this hype is about. :P

Yeah it's fun. Just updated today. Survival mode is pretty awesome. I heard the game is on sale now, everyone now go get it!

What is this rock glitch?

There's a rock on the dock side of the shore. It's right against the cliff. It's a good defense spot as zombies have a hard time scaling it, and the tank can have a hard time seeing people there so it despawns. It's cheap, but it works.

as well, you can see special infecteds from further away so you could snipe them before they can get to you.

spent like 2 hrs playing the new mode on the light house map lol

What's everyone's record for Survival mode so far? :P
Mine is only 6 minutes...

we started on Last Stand and kept getting completely owned, and then we switched to the Warehouse (Bloodharvest), which looks to be the first one. We did a lot better. On our last attempt, we managed over 12:00min. We opened the door, and ran all the way to the end and stationed ourselves on the second level. The railing helps prevent getting pulled down to the first level by smokers.

There's a decent amount of time to do some good ranged damage before the tank reaches the party. We keep shotgunning him in the face till he goes down. We basically stuck to pistols and then went to the good weapons when the tank came, since there wasn't an ammo pile nearby.

found the glitch in warehouse....

stop playing after like 30minutes.... i could just leave it on for days LOL

we got to 11:17 i think just now on that one, again, on the second floor railing.

for a good portion of it though, we were in the room with the healthpacks, and we had pushed a pallet jack from the warehouse into the door to jam it up until the tank came through and ripped it out lol.

what's the glitch?

and the one on boathouse against the cliff, i used to be able to jump up on it but it looks like they tried to fix it, howd you manage to still get up on it? different spot to jump from?

There are 2 "magic rocks" @ the boathouse stage. The one closest to the boat seemed to have been fixed. I didnt try the other one but I can still get on it.

My record is 10:43 for the light house :D

Is anyone getting a game freeze?
My game just freezes out of nowhere.
This ONLY happened when I updated last night.
I got the latest stable nvidia 800gt update.
^ I will update to the beta drivers and if that is the problem I may update or downgrade.

edit: restarting l4d did the trick.. lets hope

what's a good place to stand around for the lighthouse? every1 i play with prefers standing at the very top, but smokers can get you so easily

When I got gold on that map, we stayed in the generator room and had all 4 people on top of that giant propane tank or whatever it is. Just get in one corner and hold back. Use pistol only and auto shottie for the tank.

The very top of the lighthouse is a horrible spot. You get dragged so easily after the rails break.

^ what do you guys do when the tanks come? I know it knocked some of us off the propane tank and then we got screwed :lol

You just unload on the tank. It usually dies by the time it climbs up. That's why everyone needs to take an auto shottie. Remember to hold back and you wont fall off.

Survival Mode is really fun.
No Mercy first map is hard. zombies coming from the ground, windows, up top.
Maybe it was just bad teammates. =P

We went through the gate as soon as it was open enough, and defended in the corner, where the gas cans and pipebombs were. We brought up gas tanks, and kept tossing one by stairs to shoot when the horde came. Everyone was armed with a shotgun to take out the tanks.

Bots fuckin' suck in survival mode. Make sure you have a full team of humans. Even a crappy player is better than a bot in survival mode.
