Should I get Gears of War 2 or Left 4 Dead?

^^ get Gears 2... IMO its a better action game

another Tank fact:

Tank can knock off the safehouse doors...

right after the 2nd part of the map started, we can hear a Tank just right outside the safehouse, so one guy unlock the door, and decided to go out and start shooting the thing with a shottie, then we ran back into the safehouse and shut the doors, wow..... he just rip that door out and basically put us in a death trap....

wow that's pretty unfortunate, starting the map with the tank outside the safehouse :lol

L4D is such a great coop game

^ well true true.. 4 player co op is alot better than 2 player

but ya. iv been playing L4D like crazy since i got it 3 days ago

its hard to say if the game is starting to feel old playing the same 5 episodes over and over.. im still having fun with the ai director..

but ya.im pretty sure things will get slightly repetitive by end of the year... hope Valve start releasing new Episodes/Map for single player in the coming months

iv played the campaign more than the multiplayer...

the campaign never gets dull lol.. i was on advance mode.. and wtf.. 2 tanks + a witch.. in the corn field too of all places... gg

gears hands down. left 4 dead is dope for multi player but sucks for single player. either way if you gotta pick one its gears.

if you have xbox live ~ get left 4 dead.. if not then stick to gow2

Has anyone figured out how to join custom made maps?

I have been playing L4D for the weekend, and well,

WTF IS WITH THE PLAYERS THESE DAYS?

They keed disconnecting at the first sign of trouble, or enjoy shooting me in the fucking back. I literally had to fight off a FUCKING WITCH by myself, who got all hyped by a fucking noob.

I hate L!ve players now

Also tank fact: If you're playing in campain mode the AI controlled tank wont be able to smash down the safehouse door if u stand as close as you possibly can on the other side of the safehouse door. Instead of blasting the door down.. the tank will just try to hit you.

when i play multiplayer vs mode on pc.. sometimes it lags.. and by lagging i mean music and everything freezes for a few seconds.. anyone else have the same problem?

I thought it was just me, but this also happens in general throughout the game.

I don't have these issues, unless I'm playing on a server that is hosted off the hosts' computer... that's when the lag gets real bad

so... apparently we can access the server browser like for all other HL games.... in console, type openserverbrowser. I'm thinking that will be the way we will be able to access custom map servers?

i only seem to have that problem when i play online vs mode.. i don't have that problem when i play online campaign mode

no man, I have that problem when I play online and campaign.

usually it happens in the beginning. (9600GT) I don't think it's the internet connection

i only have that problem when i play online.. no problem when i play single player. i'm using HD4870x2 i don't think my video card is the problem as it is plenty for this game.. but i noticed.. whenever that problem occurs.. it's seem to be during whenever i'm moving.. as soon as i let go of the movement keys.. i'm fine.. i can shoot turn heal etc.. it's just when i start walking again i have problems.. it's not everytime.. but it's quite frequent.. this is a major downside to the online experience... especially when the rest of the players are like running 10miles away from you and you are still stuck... and is there a way to select which servers you want to play on?? those random server they put you on.. half the time i get a really crappy connection like 1 bar..

is there a way of making it so the server browser is always open each time you launch L4D?

I'm not sure actually, I don't think it would unless you code some stuff in your config to have it executed during the start

lol that frame freeze problem for me seems to go away if i non stop jumping ~ it's funny lol

You can make an autoexec.cfg for openserverbrowser to start up when the game starts up.

just got the game yesterday i was playing coop for a bit on intense or whatever. couldent past one part before i had to work which was when ur on top of the hospital waiting for a helicoptor or whatever. that tank kept pwning us but i made it to the 3rd wave or whatever lol gonna play tonight if nayone wants to for the 360

man, i was playing this so much for the first couple of days i got it, i had a dream about being chased around by zombies...

every episode/movie has a big finale where u wait to be rescued and insane amount of hordes, tanks, hunters and smokers come attack.. its just purely survival

my best advice, when a boat, helicopter or any extraction shows up, fuck your team and just run for your life.. u only need to stick together just rescue someone when being attack by a hunter or smoker..

of all the maps i played, i always died on DeadAir in the finale.. never manage to survive and espcape with a team
