I pulled that one off the pole, he musta been going at a pretty good clip to loose it there. It moved on the ice like a champ after I pulled it off the pole. I was actually surprised how well it was on the ice when I was moving it around back at our yard.

Definetly not worth it for Victoria... My experiences a are with -30 temperatures where all seasons turn into plastic wheels with no grip.

Oh my crap that's cold... -7 here in Victoria...

Environment Canada is calling for 15-20 cm of snow tonight, and windows 90 km/h.

grocery stores were insane with people stocking up...

Dentz 12-20-2008 09:46 PM

Shoveled my driveway on friday, and chipped away all the ice on it (about 1 inch of pure ice). Wanted to take the 300 out for a small drive and finally get it out to a family member's house to start some engine work; my driveway had another plan. Hit black ice, back end slid off my driveway, and into the neighbour's yard. After an hour of fighting with it, got the car back on my driveway...sideways.

Looks like it gets to sit in the driveway for another week.

its looking kinda crazy out there.....

Renthal 12-21-2008 02:33 AM

parked the supra and insured my 4RUnner..
went out to durrance lake tonight and holy crap, probably a foot.
people were out there with no 4x4 gettin stuck

2 ppl flagged me down in the middle of no where walking with frost all over them and i drove them home

The K5 is having no troubles, even with just a set of BFG All-Terrains.

ostampflee 12-21-2008 06:34 AM

BFG All Terrains aren't all that bad of a winter tire, way better than Mud Terrains. I just put some Dunlop Grendtrek SJ5 tires on the Envoy and its a night day difference over the Yoko Geolanders that were on it.

It snowed maybe 6" here, but it's drifting bad. The snow in my driveway is at least a foot deep now but all the vehicles are bare, the driveway was bare yesterday. Time to shovel and salt again. I don't want to think about what the Sookehalla will be like tomorrow :(

hud 91gt 12-21-2008 06:55 AM

BFG A/T's are one of a few all season tires that have the severe winter weather symbol.

Super Dipper 12-21-2008 08:27 AM

my old man headed out around 7am this morning and said the roads were a mess yet again....good times.

Black SC2 12-21-2008 08:34 AM

Snowed in good at my place now. F*ing Langford wouldn't know a snow plow if one jumped up and bit it in the face.

xsteinbachx 12-21-2008 08:36 AM

Car stuck at the Gf's place.... Summer tires + a foot of snow + up hill = FAIL

projectcivic 12-21-2008 08:43 AM

Drove home from Sidney last night around 930 and it was pretty ugly. Thankfully everyone that was on the road was driving ok so I had no problems but I could see how it could have gotten ugly if someone who didn't have a clue how to drive might get in trouble

rental_metard 12-21-2008 08:52 AM

The gf walked from the street to the door in heels when the snow was up to her ankle. She was not happy

Relyc 12-21-2008 08:59 AM

I abandoned my car downtown last night. Anyone know if the streets are relatively clear by this point?

From what i have seen this morning ( mind you its limited cause i haven't driven, just walked around. The main roads are ok but getting onto them is a bit of a mess.

Fleemer 12-21-2008 11:50 AM

note to self, do not back up car into ditch....
