F*** Yeah, got my A in INTB3100. You should try to make an appeal (even if it does not work) because registration came really late this semester and it's unfair that they're demanding prompt payment.

How difficult was INTB3100? On a scale of 1 being the greatest amount of difficulty, and 10 being the greater amount of difficulty

3.5^. He (there is only one teacher) is a fair marker, but he can be extremely ambiguous. He will put you to sleep, but nevertheless your effort will probably reflect your grade. He has 2 lectures per week, his 2nd lecture is always better. A lot of people do not really like him, but I feel he is improving.

I can give you a site for the mc. His questions for both the MT and final are odd. Some are textbook oriented, some aren't. I liked his final exam however. His MC can be hard even if you study.

STUDYBLUE | Make online flashcards & notes. Study anywhere, anytime.
You sign up for free, do not pay for extra features. Ask me later for the tutorial, but it is not hard to use. It only has mc for chapters 6-11, but the mc for the first MT is manageable.

I am compelled to start a ratemyprof thread.

I haven't been at Langara for a few years, but the place was a walking fashion show when I was there. Hotties dressed up so nicely.

Heading back to school this coming Monday. I feel old.

Hold me, bros

Has anyone taken a Continuing Studies course at Langara? Considering learning Korean and it seems to be the most accessible place to learn. Not too sure if the material will be too dry. I'm mainly interested in conversational, don't care to read or write.

I'm in a continuing studies program right now. Seems like there's no real difference except that we don't pay student union fees.

1st year Micro/Macro econ classes were actually among the more difficult classes I've taken. Maybe its just the way my brain works though.. I just couldn't wrap my head around all those models (particularly the AE model).. Didn't help that I was seeing a lady and doing a bunch of other things at the same time though.. Anyway, don't take it too lightly, unless you know a bit about the subject yourself

Yeah......micro and macro econ are the courses with the highest failure rates. It's not just in Langara, but also every other post-secondary institution.

I took an Econ class last sem that combined Micro and Macro in the same semester lol. Did better than expected. Certainly helped that the instructor knew what he was doing.

I decided to go langara instead of sfu arts since transferring from both to beedie requires the same 9 courses and langara is cheaper. Was wondering if anybody took the langara equivalent courses before and have any insight on them.

Langara. Student Services: Counselling: University Planning: Business Administration (B.B.A.), Faculty of Business Administration, SFU

How was it? The transfer for spring 2014 was 3.07. How long does it take to finish all 9 required courses and was it extremely hard?

It'll probably take you 3-4 semesters to finish, mainly because of timing. Unless by some luck you can plan out all 9 courses into 2 semesters (Fall and Spring), because Summer is very limited in course selection. Ie. If you take a part 1 course in Spring, you may have to wait until Fall to take its part 2.

I did not transfer to beddie or anywhere else, I finished with an accounting diploma.

Do you plan to transfer out after your diploma?

I've had Deland before, he is a great teacher. BUSM1115 was not the best course I've ever taken though... Unless you have no business knowledge whatsoever, that course feels like a waste of time after a month

Wondering if anyone withdrew from a reg semester class before? Might not pass this class and I'm thinking of dropping it, curious if I get any money back?

Langara. Registration Guide - Summer 2014: After You Register: Withdraw From Courses

It'll show up on your transcript, but it's much better than an F

You only get your money back if you withdraw before the course drop/refund period expires.
