how does hyundai warranties work? do they require more frequent, more detailed (read: labor intensive=expensive) servicing?

nothing it's just 5yr bumper 2 bumper and that's awesome.

Apparently the factory turbo is much smaller than the EVO one....

so chipping it to 300HP is physically impossible. To get to EVOX power you are going to need a turbo and/or intercooler swap...

that is one small ass turbo! I wonder if the turbo on the Lancer Ralliarts (detuned 4B11 as well) are running the same tiny turbochargers.

It's actually a base model 2.0T. Just squeezed in the budget, no moneys for the track package, and I didn't want anything from the premium. also didn't want the 3.8.

I'm pretty happy with the color, it looks a lot better in person, or in better pictures I'd imagine. I originally wanted the grey(not the silvers, yuck), but it looks like everyone else does too, so it would be everywhere, and they will be a bit of a wait to get here.

Driving it is great. I've never had a new car before and the closest thing i've had to a new car experience is driving the parents 02 RSX auto. Big difference heh.
Handling is a lot better than I expected, it took a while to get used to it, and I had to be careful at first, but eventually opened it up and hit some corners. Very flat around corners, ride isn't too stiff, but it's stiffer than most new cars I've driven as a mechanic for the last year. I can only imagine what the GT/Track feels like with the bigger sway bars and tuned suspension.
I like the tires, I've always been a fan of Potenzas and I'm not let down with these. 245s in the rear don't want to let go, even with TC off in the rain and some encouragment. It's pretty confidence inspiring so far. I havn't experienced under or oversteer yet, but I havn't pushed tooo far yet hehe.

Power feels very similar to my last skyline, which had a 3" turbo-back, air pod, 13psi and an RB20det. Genesis feels like it has a bit more go to it, less turbo lag and a much quicker spool up, but the Skyline wouldn't run out of breath as easily as the genesis does with it's toddler sized snail.

A few weeks and some dry weather will bring a better review and some decent pictures.

Also have to say thanks to Trevor at Jim Pattison Hyundai on the north shore for being a great salesperson. No pressure, didn't look at me like a punk kid who drove in with a $500 beater full of snowboard gear (which I did) and it was an overall great experience.

Nice stuff 1990TSI! I wonder if "Mananetwork" is willing to do a photoshoot of your car.

Give me the one in pink.

Well I don't know what's worse, Veilside's "reputation" or yours?

Are you just plain dumb or pretend to be stupid? Caz I really don't believe a retarded like that can actually use a keyboard

Absolutely striking car. However, it would have been nice if we could see some daytime pics of the ride.

Out the door was around 29k. 2.6% finance. I don't think lease rates are out for a few months.

LOL GTR knockoff kit coming to a Hyundai dealer near you for upgrades! The developer says the kit will replace the black on blue center dash display when it's complete.

also NOW you know you are doing 0.4BAR at WOT. time for that boost controller!

Also KAAZ made an LSD for the money saving enthusiast like you.

Next up is take out that damned TCS fuse and go DRIFT IT~

There's a black genesis coupe on display at Coquitlam Centre, near the HMV and Eddie Bauer. I've never seen so many people ooh and aww at a Hyundai. Its quite the wide car in person.
