Anyway, the Magic are moving ahead to trade Dwight Howard. The only reason the Nets will deal for Howard is if they're not sure he'll land there next summer. If they do deal for him, Brook Lopez is the guy that will make the move and it will indicate the Nets didn't value him that much, or Howard ordered the Nets to make the trade to keep people thinking he left the Magic high and dry. |
Paul Pierce was reportedly offered to the Blazers according to Blazers blog Pinwheel Empire.... |
Luke Ridnour was identified in reports by ESPN and Fox Sports Ohio as a potential target of the Lakers and Blazers in the upcoming trade for Jamal Crawford....This might be what's going down instead of the trade that would land Beasley in LA. We'll find out soon enough. |
Real GM has reported that Dwight Howard will sign the waiver the will keep him from opting out of the final year of his deal on Thursday morning, effectively keeping him in Orlando through next year as long as he is not traded. "I have gotten some bad advice," Howard said. "I apologize for this circus I have caused to the fans of our city. They didn't deserve none of this. I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. I will do whatever I can to make this right and do what I was put in Orlando to do." Howard is essentially throwing his agent under the bus here, and if this is followed up by another change of heart he might actually near LeBron James in terms of public relations stupidity, though that feat will likely never be met. |
I've read Beasley trade is really close too.. I mean, he's still 23 years old so he's got some potential for sure... I wouldn't mind seeing Beasley here at all as I know he can lead the 2nd unit. I also just read that lakers are going after sessions from the cavs and use up their trade exception. Sessions has no space with the cavs and he'd be a good fit with LA too :) we shall see how everything pans out in 4 hours lol |
As for this howard saga.. him saying he will stay with the magics is just to save face and still be loved by the fans, etc after he gets traded as "he didn't request it anymore".. i mean, there's no way the magics won't trade him either this year or during the summer.. |
Classy move Howard, first you throw your teammates and your organization under the bus trying to sound like some kind of competitor, and now you do it to the people that represent you as well. You're not winning shit this year in Orlando, damage is done already and you may as well have just left. I never could stand this fuckin goof, watching him play on the court was always like watching a fat kid in a candy store instead of a grown up at work |
The real story today is why Blake Griffin air balled 2 free throws in a row in yesterdays game :lol Blake Griffin's back-to-back Air Balls (14-03-12) - YouTube |
cuz he's overrated? seriously all he got is his hops, after he starts losing that as he gets older he'll be useless i miss mcgrady, one of my fav players during his orlando/houston days, the guy was a beast |
^ nah, Blake has more than hops and he's gonna basically end up something like a Karl Malone in his later years, although he will never EVER have the mid-range jumper Malone had..... he has very good ball handling skills for a big man, he's real strong and knows how to maneuver around defenders in the paint area thanks to excellent footwork which is pretty much the most important thing for a big man to have.... and to top it all off a soft touch around the basket... so basically he has all the tools to succeed after his athleticism fails him.... unlike for example lets go with a Westbrook and Rose, those dudes are fcked when they lose their speed n hops, ESPECIALLY Westbrook, lol and I never understood people who shoot free throws that take a break mid-form, every shooting coach will tell you it's the #1 thing on the list of things NOT to do when shooting a free throw... amazed at the amount of big men shooting this same way I see him raise the ball up above his head, hold it for about half a second or so then just fling it from his forehead basically, when instead it should just be one fluid motion like a regular jumper.... their shooting coaches I assume are probably telling them the typical advice of find your own routine and stick with it, but how does that work when you break the first and most basic rule of FT shooting |
Griffin is overall just a horrible freethrow shooter, but damn, two airballs in a row is something I've never seen. Other than the mid-range jumper like Gspec stated above and his FT shooting, hes a great overall player even tho hes really fortunate to have people toss the ball to him for high percentage shots. 1 more hour, Lakers please...do something edit: anybody watchin this joke of a d12 press conference? http://www.nba.com/live4/ |
reports said that LA offered nj gasol for williams and got rejected. hmm :accepted: Barbosa to pacers for a 2nd round pick .. |
Yahoo! is reporting that the Blazers have reached an agreement in principle to send Gerald Wallace to Nets for Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams and a protected 2012 first-round draft pick. The pick is rumoured to be Top-3 protected, which means the Blazers will be rooting for the Nets to win a lot of games the rest of the way. |
Ramon Sessions will reportedly be traded to the Lakers for a future draft pick. This signals that Steve Blake is likely heading to Portland. This would confirm rumours that Luke Ridnour is not a part of the Jamal Crawford deal, as well. |
^ "The Lakers will send the Cavs their 2012 first-round pick and will also get the rights to swap picks next year with the Miami Heat’s first-round draft pick, which the Cavs own. The Lakers will absorb Sessions with the $8.9 million trade exception they received from the Dallas Mavericks for Lamar Odom." |
^ doesn't look like it, Luke Walton was also part of the deal along with Christian Eyanga...This is ridiculous....The fact that Mitch Kupchak got someone to take Walton's ridiculous contract is incredible... |
finally the lakers got rid of worthless walton. C'mon get Beasley! |
Warriors and Spurs exchange Stephen Jackson and Richard Jefferson. Blazers send Camby to Houston for Thabeet, Flynn, and a 2nd round pick. |
Derek Fisher Trade: Lakers Deal Veteran Point Guard To Rockets For Jordan Hill WTF? |
“@SportsCenter: BREAKING NEWS: Sources: Lakers trade veteran G Derek Fisher and 1st-round pick to Houston for C Jordan Hill” Posted via RS Mobile |
What is so "WTF" about that? Rumours of Nick Young heading to Clips for Brian Cooke and a draft pick. |
