Although the Dream Team won the gold medal in '92 by defeating teams in blowout games, you never ever heard Jordan or his teammates act all cocky and arrogant before or during games. They acted like true professionals and focussed at the task at hand. Bottom line is the Dream Team took care of business to win the gold medal. -really don't see why Kobe has to make these comments to put his team above the Dream Team. This team USA hasn't even take care of business yet in winning the gold medal at the Olympics. Instead, you have one of their veteran superstars talking smack towards the Dream Team? This team better bring it in London. It won't be a cakewalk in each game. |
I was like "wtf" when I heard Kobe's comment too. Just off the top of my head you don't even need to start comparing the SUPER-Legends like Jordan and you already have the bigs like Mailman and Admiral DEMOLISHING Chandler and Griffin. |
Lol.. all you need is Pippen and Jordan on Kobe and LeBron and life would be a living hell on them. If Kobe had problems with Sefelosha... then he'd probably fail to even get a good shot off against Jordan |
lol at kobe, even on a matchup point of view, dream team has the upper hand on 4/5 positions only the SF position the '12 team is better with lebron and KD, other than that, no contest |
dream team vs current team, best way I could put it is it would be MEN playing against BOYS..... even if you wanna break it down on a matchup level speaking on basketball terms, dream team would have just demolished them down low and that alone would have been enough to win the game.... Tyson Chandler is the only guy you got down low, against Robinson, Ewing, Malone, Barkley.... Experts will jump in and try and mention the fast break and isolation capabilities of the 2012 teams players, and I got my money on the fact that just two defenders off the dream team can shut that whole shit down.... Jordan & Pipp then you got the much more physical style of play from back then that I don't think the current team would be comfortable with at all, so Scottie Pippen said it best last night at the USA vs DR game when he said they would have beaten this team by 20-25 points, and I fully agree Blake Griffin tore a ligament in the same knee he keeps reinjuring, will be out for olympics but back for training camp.... he needs a new surgeon, this is the third time he's had an issue now, and he's going back again to the same guy to repair it |
lol |
irving is pretty sick at going 1 on 1 but kobe will kick his ass all day |
Jeremy Lin + Dwight Howard possibly in Houston? could be fun |
pretty sure new york will match houston's offer to Lin, so not gonna happen |

2012 more athletic yes, but that's about it. Also you have Stockton to Malone, and Jordan and Pippen in their primes. Who else on 2012 has that kind of chemistry? |
[QUOTE=noots;7974610]http://nballin.com/wp-content/upload.../0073_1nbe.gif /QUOTE] Best use of this GIF ever :lawl: |
first day of VCB classic tourney went by today at South Arms community center right on the side there those two outdoor courts, if you guys are bored and wanna check out some ball players doin their thang, come out tomorrow, there is food and prizes,, etc.... |
Hello Houston, bye bye new york |
for those that havent seen it yet, "Dream Team" documentary, very good watch |
Maybe Jimmy Dolan will be stupid enough to get Kidd, Felton, and Lin. |
It's starting to look like the Knicks really might not match for Lin.....Anywho, Kidd crashed his Escalade into a pole this morning and was received a DWI charge.... |
Tough break for Irving. Kyrie should not have acted in frustration by slapping his hand on the padded wall, after committing a turnover: Irving breaks hand during practice in Las Vegas |
He BROKE his hand slapping the padded cushion?!... da fuq?!... lol ... well I guess that's just a freak accident ... now Amare on the other hand ... |
that fucking sucks.. lol hopefully he be back by the start of the next season |

I fractured and dislocated my finger when the ball bounced off the gym wall and hit my hand awkwardly as I was reaching towards the ball, probably less force than Kyrie's hand slap but with worse consequences.... so yea freak accidents are freak accidents, the name says it all.... oh and J Kidd crashing his Escalade into a pole, lol reminds me of something, especially considering he's had marital problems as well http://static.businessinsider.com/~~...X=400&maxY=300 |
pictures of the NBA 3X tournament in Toronto. Former Spurs player Matt Bonner was on hand to present a trophy to winner of the Sprite SlamDunk contest. -some lovely ladies on Raptor's cheerleading team. :) http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic9.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic8.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic6.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic4.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic3.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic2.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic1.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...eung/pic10.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...heung/pic7.jpg |
^ thanks for sharing ? so those 4 asian guys were the dunk competition participants? any dunk vids I'm curious to see what they put up honestly i hate any outdoor tourneys, it's fun when you in high school, but like when you're close to 30 it's like ehhh... just wrapped up the VCB classic tournament at south arm today, and for example one reason outdoor tourneys are shit, is fcked up rules.... in the VCB specifically the rules say after you foul the opposing team more than 11 times a game, they automatically get 2 points and 2 free throws AND the ball..... nevermind free throws, never mind common sense.... but like.... wherein teh fucking basketball world have you ever seen anything resembling that kind of rule... ever! were any of you guys hangin out or playing there over the weekend btw? |

Way to go Sherman! -liked Sherman's dunk where he jumped over Bonner. |
Phoenix claimed Scola. Scola + Gortat are going to be a strong duo. |
