It doesnt help that at least once a week I go out with my buddies who all work in the industry. Its pretty much just a constant stream of shots and drinks all night..
industry people are all alcholics anyways, they spend their whole week drinking then recover AT work lol

speaking of pop, drinks with pop = hangover

drinking without puking is pointless. I always puke in the same spot too it's weird. I get all drunk before the bar, every time, take a beer for the walk and puke right at the bridge before going into the bar. it's happened at least 15 times now, out of maybe 25 tops.

That and there's a difference between drinking and getting drunk.

Knowing when to stop comes with experience. Deciding when to stop comes with maturity.

IF U DONT WANT A HANGOVER most of the time drink a big cup of water OR for better results drink a bottle of powerade/gatorade before sleeping since hangovers are caused by dehydration anyways

Nope, I always puke in the same spot!

tonight was a variation. I had to meet up with some super young broad to buy her beer (beer store is connected to the bar) so I rode my bike over this time! with a beer, and super drunk like all the other times, but this time I rode right past the puke spot without any concequences. I proceeded to buy beer and she expected she'd just come back to my place. silly broad.

so anyways. epic tits are epic, no matter the model year.

Everyone drinks too much now and again when they are younger. I've had my share of shitty nights, although these days I generally take it easier, and I can pretty much pinpoint when i've had enough.

This is single handedly the only comment in this forum that makes any sense. The question posed is why do people get super drunk. This is why.

To elaborate in humans, the levels of serotonin metabolites in the urine and blood increase after drinking, indicating increased serotonin release in the nervous system. Thus, alcohol can temporarily raise ones mood by enhancing these levels of serotonin.

This is why people get loser drunk.

I guess peer pressure plays apart too. Pretty stupid to try and prove your the bigger man cause you can drink more. Even more stupid if you end up puking it all out afterwards. Now I just say no.

And it is getting pricey haha.

OP, man your friends fail. my method is as follows:

-Knock back the first two-four quick, depending on what I've eaten that day
-Wait a while
-taker slow the rest of the night, alternating alcoholic drinks with glasses of water. drinking fast because "I can't feel it yet" never ends well, booze takes some time to kick in (exception, IME, being 151, that hit me fast)
-snack on chips, crackers, hot dogs buns, whatever. nothing too funky and you're generally good.

thus far doing this I don't get hangovers, and I've had some drunk ass nights. occasionally I get a headache from a lack of sleep though.

I can understand you not seeing the appeal of drinking if your friends always end up puking though, New Years I was taking it slow as I was co-hosting a pretty big party and doing fireworks n shit, and ended up trying to save my friends house from 8 puking people. At one point I ran out of buckets, by the time I got to bed after ensuring noone had alcohol poisoning it was 5, everyone else was asleep by 2 >.< it wasn't a good experience.

If you can get with some good friends though, ones that are fun to have a few drinks with and maintain a good buzz to have a good time without getting to the point of passing out/puking, then it's a great time.

I began drinking malt liquor. Colt .45, Olde English, Bull Max. Then I moved onto bottom shelf beers like Ironhorse and Wildcat. By the time I had moved my way up beers like Lucky, Bud, and Canadian went down like water.

I've been privileged enough to drink beer in pubs in Ireland, England, Scotland, Austria, and Germany. From ice cold to room temperature, lagers to cloudy wheats theres very few beers I don't like.

Its about building up your tolerance to the taste. Beer can be bitter and it can be heavy. If you want to enjoy the taste try this:

- Drink it ice cold. Warm beer leaves a manky taste in your mouth. Having it frosty makes it easier to take.

- Glass, not cans. Buying bottles may cost more but they (to me at least) taste better.

- Let it breathe. Yea, I know. This is wine advice but anything carbonated can stand to flatten for a short while. I even do this with coke and pepsi. It makes it easier to drink.

- That goo at the bottom of the bottle, glass, or can is a mix of sediment, saliva, and leftover beer and you've got nothing to prove by drinking it. Let that last centimeter go, man. Its gone.
Thats what my friends and I did, we drank some truly horrible shit (TNT was the worst) then upgraded to ice cold bottles of Canadian, Keiths, Rickards and the like, now beer is amazing. I wouldn't dare touch the beers I used to drink anymore (Dude, Black Label, Black Ice, etc)
