A Veneno in the Canada Post plant in Vancouver? :drool |

Curious. |
Same photo popped up on my FB news feed earlier, from Jeff Chin Photography. With a comment saying the pic in question is from the East coast of USA. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater |
That car should be the next batmobile. |

There's 2 going to the east coast. One of them going to my acquaintance Kris in Florida, the other one going to the New York area if I'm not mistaken (dealer principal of Lamborghini Long Island). Third one going to the middle east. |

Lamborghini Veneno |
Looks wise, yes. Technology wise, not so much. I will give that to McLaren(P1) Ferrari(La Ferrari) or Porsche(918 spyder). |
?!? It sports a Carbon Monocoque frame with aluminum skeleton. It has monotube shocks mounted in a push rod fashion. It has brakes that could stop the rotation of the moon, and more rubber than a Texas whorehouse. The Veneno is no slouch when it comes to technology. 750hp out of a WAYYY oversquare 6.5L engine that revs to the heavens. Connected to a 7 speed tranny with selectable drive modes, and Haldex AWD. That shit is Swedish, so we know it's awesome. 0-100kmh in 2.8 seconds. although Timpo still says the 2015 GTR is fastaR. :p |
This lambo is the pamela anderson of cars.....way overdone.....is it wild looking? absolutely yes, but will it look good in 20yrs.....most likely not. From a performance and technology standpoint, it is not even in the same league as La Ferrari, Mclaren, 918. First off, single clutch tranny Vs dual clutch for competitors, Carbon fiber monocoque with aluminum supports Vs full carbon fiber monoque for competitors. Engine is old school Vs hybrid technology. On the track it would get destroyed by the other 3 hyper cars. |
If there is ever a video testing all the new hypercars ....:sweetjesus: |
-wonder who is the baller who paid about $4 million for this Veneno. :suspicious: |

At the end of the day, to each their own. Everyone has a different set of needs, requirements, and desires. Much like our views on women. That's why there are so many of them in the world (selections of cars I mean......and women.) Sometimes it's not about how fast or advanced it is. Sometimes it's about how it makes you feel. To me I prefer a more old school analog feel to my cars, while having some modern creature comforts (A/C, Stereo, GPS, etc.) so the Superleggera fits me perfectly. But back to what you are saying about technology and "which car is faster around the track", I completely agree with you. But I'll never be able to use it to the car's full capabilities as I'm not a professional driver. So it's irrelevant to my personal needs. :) |
^ I agree with you as well....I went from a modded GT3 to a AMV8.....you can definitely tell the AM is a boutique car with a ton of quirks. It is not particular fast, handles OK, and steering is OK as well, however I love how it makes me when I drive it. I also love the fact I can enjoy driving it slow......plus the stares from hot women driving BMWs and Audis never gets boring! haha! The AMV8 is a like a high maintenance gf, you put up with her shit because she is so beautiful. |

I like the analogy. In contrast, the GT-R is your local whore who may not be the most beautiful woman that you've ever seen, but boy, can she perform! ain't that right, Timpo? :) |
What's the difference between the 2010+ Vantages and pre-2010's? Did the automatic transmission come out in 2010? The reason I'm asking is I noticed in the states you can pick up a 2007 for as low as $55k but there's a pretty decent price increase around the 2010+ models. |

Both pre- and post-2008 Vantages had the 6-sp Sportshift gearbox, a single clutch automated manual. The software programming was updated for 2009. Still- I test drove a 2010 Vantage with Sportshift and, despite being familiar with BMW's SMG, it was still very jerky. I haven't tried the Vantage S' 7-sp Sportshift II though so I can't say if it's any better. I know the DB9's Touchtronic (which is a real automatic) is perfectly smooth though. MCL Porsche currently has a 2010 Vantage in inventory- take it out for a test drive if you're interested in a Sportshift Vantage. It's a great looking car that sounds epic but the gearbox breaks the car for me. At least a 6MT is available. |
^ Wow, great explanation thanks. My uncle actually got a AMV8, not sure what year it is but I'm going over to house on the weekend to check it out and take it for a spin. I think he got his from MCL because he also bought a brand new RR sport for my aunt which I'm eager to check out as well. |

I love the new Sport. The new one has become a bit too large for my taste but the interior is like a damn Bentley. |
