^totally defeats the purpose of the LB kit.

The kit was always supposed to look raw with the very exaggerated fenders followed by the exposed rivets.

that looks OK but it looks out of place to me. there are way better looking molded widebody kits

westopher 05-31-2014 09:01 AM

I haven't seen one for the e92 that looks better than that. That Vorsteirnrnennrnerrerrrerrrr posted a page back or so with the fighter jet decals is just horrendous. I agree the rivets suits it more, but rivets/no rivets is like tossing my wings in Daves insanity sauce or blairs death sauce with liquid fire. Both are hot as fuck just a little different flavour.

Agreed. If you're putting on such aggressive fenders, you have to go all the way and show everything

Marshall Placid 06-01-2014 09:52 PM

Was in Calgary this past weekend... and came across the Porsche Macan test drive circuit at the Calgary Zoo parking lot.

I was driving into the "elephant" section of the parking lot and spotted 8 SUVs in different colours going into the lowest Zoo parking lot... was thinking "hey, those look like Porsche Cayennes..." and on a closer look at the side and back profiles, turned out to be Porsche Macans (invite only 3 hour auto-cross/test drive event).

Though the front looks similar/same as the Cayenne, the side and back profiles are different and very sleek, with great numbers/specs (the Turbo version 0-60 is 4.4secs for... a SUV).

Proceeded to take a few "spied" snapshots and spoke with one of the instructors on availability (waiting list, earliest delivery is January 2015):
