They may hold their value better than a bog standard F150, but they're still Fords.

2014 are going for under $60k, while 2012 are around the mid 40's mark. They seem to lose value like any other high end Ford. F350 are close to $90k new, and sell for close to the same prices as the Raptors.

I've been looking at Raptors for years. Sexy trucks, but in the end they're still going to age like a Ford.

Spotted these during last year final day

That's a M6

the new front end is sick on the raptors

noclue 01-19-2017 07:04 PM

I think raptors hold great value. The 2012's that are going for $40-45K have 100,000km+ The dealers here are asking $5K extra + MSRP for a new one. Damn shame raptors don't qualify for employee pricing lol

On a vehicle like the raptor, you can't consider Vancouver pricing to be realistic. Everything in this city is expensive, because if you list something for a reasonable price, you attract people who are only interested in flipping it for a profit.

It was nice when the cdn dollar was stronger. You could go to the US and get 20% more for your dollar. There is such great selection in the US because their market is so much bigger.

I want a raptor so bad, but my tundra is still going strong. Hot defroster, cold ac, snow capabilities, and a great stereo go a long way. Plus it looks sweet. Not raptor sweet, but sweet nonetheless.

Still..... if I can find that unicorn raptor with low miles and a clean title, I will snag it.

I know man, it's nuts!
I've looked as far as Arizona for one, and while there are dozens for sale out there, the prices for the 2013 (for example) are still hovering around $45k usd. A clean 2013 Vancouver Raptor can be found for $56k.

I'm doing the math, and it just doesn't make sense. After adding a 20% exchange (which is low) you're up to $54k. This is before taxes and fees too. When the cdn dollar was strong, it was a great deal. But not anymore.

noclue has a good point that Raptors actually do hold their value pretty well. I'm sure the Vancouver Raptor market is helped by the high US dollar too.

Dealers in SoCal are asking $25k over for new Raptors. Pretty crazy.

Amazing how someone can be out driving this in the middle of winter and the next day we get covered in snow.
