Preordered at EB Games. Not many places doing preorder's for PC.

I made the mistake of getting MW1 on PS3, hardly played it online, bought a FragFX which isn't very good. Better than the controller, but still not the same as Mouse/Keyboard combo.

I've used my FragFX for MAYBE a total of 2 hours of gameplay. When I compared it to my PC, PC is far superior for FPS imo.

I've seen pics of the V2, it looks the same to me. Same cheap plastic, same cheap buttons...HOPEFULLY they upgraded the sensitivity adjustment.

Either way, the FragFX is a huge improvement for me over the regular controller.

In effect, gamers in the PC community will not be able to run Modern Warfare 2 on dedicated servers that they may rent, as they are able to with previous Call of Duty games. Other concerns that PC gamers have expressed on message boards and blogs regarding no dedicated servers include possible lag issues and unsatisfactory match-making.

In addition, no dedicated servers likely means that IWNet will not support mods and custom maps for the game, at least at launch. Mods are an aspect of PC gaming that helps keep a game's community going for a relatively long period of time. "I know the team has huge plans for what IWNet will turn into, and this is just the beginning," Bowling said. At launch, however, IWNet is mainly focused on match-making.

Bowling admitted that he wasn't totally up to speed on further specifics of IWNet, as it's a "code-heavy" topic. Gamasutra attempted to contact Bowling this afternoon, but did not receive a reply as of press time.

The revelation prompted a strong response from PC gamers who were anticipating the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the latest release in a franchise that originated on PC. One common example of PC gamer response can be seen on Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 PC forum:

"Just canceled my PC pre-order. My entire clan of 100-plus people is canceling too. Thanks IW! You just saved us all a total of over $6,000.00. We are thinking of stopping our dedicated CoD servers too. What point is there to helping a company provide multiplayer if they are just going to shaft you."

PC gamers objecting to Infinity Ward's decision are signing a petition, which listed 75,000 names as of press time. Addressed to the developer, the online petition's goal is to "Get Infinity Ward to review their decision not to allow fully dedicated servers for their forthcoming game release CoD:MW2. Remember that this Call of Duty was made popular by PC Gamers who have supported the series throughout."

I cancelled my preorder. It really can be that bad. The single player portion is apparently really short and certainly not worth the $60. I'm not going to go on a rant about the multiplayer right now but I'll just say if I wanted a console game I would buy a console game. They set themselves up to ruin an awesome PC franchise.

Yea IW took everything a pc game was good for. An fps with no dedicated servers or any mods? That's exactly what console gaming is right now. Most of the new content has always been free and now it'll most likely be paid DLC. How are scrims and matches going to be hosted?

Oh well, I'm not going to buy it for the pc so it doesn't really matter that much to me. My Pc isn't going to be good enough to run it.

The game looks crazy either way. I'll be gettin it for 360. I'd rather play this game on a 46" HDTV than a small computer monitor.

Nope. We all wish it was that easy. You can plug in a keyboard for typing. But thats about it. Not for gaming.

I hope next generation of consoles will support a mouse and keyboard.

I'm very disappointed at the news that they are essentially porting the console to the PC platform since it sounds like everything its console driven ... I'm surprised that they don't require you to use a controller instead of the KB/M ...

I don't play FPS on console and I'm not really planning on starting so I guess they lost me as a customer and to think I've been playing every single one of their games since Medal of Honor: Allied Assault ...
