to be honest, i dont mind they break out this slump on wednesday.. they play better against the team from east.. but then its battle of the goalie again like tonight mason vs luongo (mason won) price vs luongo/raycroft ?? ( we shall see ) |
my biggest problem is in Luongo right now, the PK looked ALOT better the PP was sorta so-so for me MTL is a great team, and i think u gotta keep playing Lu for the next few games to let him know, we believe Scratch SOB and throw in Aaron Rome, dont need some fool runnin around and omg, scratch ripper and gve tanner glass some play time, hes tryin to be a super star goal scorer, not gonna work, or even better, scratch shirokov to send him a message |
Yes, sorry I thought it was Wed today...lol. |

In a game, scoring opportunities will happen in each and every game. CBJ's scoring opportunities did not outnumber ours but they scored on each and everyone one. But of course, for those who tout Luongo as "elite," shifting blame to the Defense is always a knee-jerk reaction. I hate it. (not directed at you). Quote:

excited about going to the game tomorrow, they will probably do good, but i think my chance of wining 50/50 is higer jk .. lol |
The Canucks players look a little lost right now. On the 5-3 power play. all they did was pass the puck back to the point for Bieska or Edler to one time a shot from the point. And when you are that close to the net and miss like Bieska, the puck will bounce around the boards and out the other side. They need to work on their sideways puck movement, something that was wrong with their PP last year. Laterial movement is what get's the other teams PK guys out of position. And that short hand goal, that was a brutal play on Bieska's part leaving Vermette (sp?) to go to the net open like that for the cross crease pass from Nash. |
Boo-urns. |

I have Luongo in both my pools as my first pick ... :haha: |
Ya Brodeur looked terrible in his first game and then lost to the Rangers last night. Cam Ward has also not won a game. You have two Stanley Cup goaltenders right there, and Lu who seems to always start off slow. Should they play better now since the Olympics are coming soon? Maybe...But a guy like Brodeur is a veteran, and you know he'll pick it up..same with Ward and Lu. I'm not worried. As for the Canucks, as last nights game went on, there transition game got so much better. By the third period, their Dmen were moving the puck really well and getting the passes to forwards. I noticed many freat rushes. |
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - After losing their home opener 5-3 to Columbus last night, and opening up the season 0 and 3 (their worst start in 8 years), the Canucks went back to the drawing board at practice today and juggled line combinations. Head Coach Alain Vigneault has put Mason Raymond back up on the second line with Ryan Kessler and Mikael Samuelsson. Tanner Glass has been bumped up to the third line with Kyle Wellwood and Steve Bernier, while the fourth line has Ryan Johnson with Darcy Hordichuk and Rick Ripien. Odd man out...Sergei Shirokov, which could mean he'll be scratched tomorrow night when the Canucks host the Montreal Canadiens. Defenseman Sami Salo wasn't on the ice for today's practice. |
^ salo is hurt ? lol |

^ I doubt it would be Mason, he's still a rookie. I think they would take Ward/Fleury over Mason |
not surprised shirokov is the odd man out that shorthanded goal, all fucked up cuz shirokov couldnt make that effort to continue the PP |

Well Raymond got promoted to the second line with Kesler and Samuelsson. Not too sure how this line will work out but with kes with grit, samuelsson with shooting and raymond with speed, this may be a pretty good line. |
I predict the Flames will lose the next 3 games, Canucks will win the next 3. :) |

Right now I think he hasn't acclimated to the intensity of the NHL. He's hanging onto the puck a little too long thinking he has a little bit more time. He's dishing bad passess because he's misreading that he doesn't have any time. His game is definitely off but its correctible (kind of like Raymond when he was a rookie). He just needs to settle down, get comfortable, don't play too tight. Just chill out and do your thing. He's not supposed to be a Kesler/Burrows type player, he's supposed to be the Sedin/Wellwood type player. |
i swear, it'll probably be better if i stop watching until november lol. luongo = a november to remember, right? ;) watching the canucks lose just makes me mad and disappointed. |
