i can picture it now, everything nearly sold out except for bieksa merchandise! :D haha |
dam i want cheap canucks tickets  |
Ya GM Place goes by tickets sold not bums in seats. Lately I have noticed a lot of empty seats in the River Rock Club. Upstairs is always packed, but the lower bowl is where you can find someitmes 3-4 seats in a row not taken. |
Because the lower bowl is full of yuppie corporate assholes that aren't really fans. Ever sit down there? Fucking sucks...it's quiet as shit. It's only full of goddamn rich bastards that can afford seats and hoes that go there to hook up with rich dudes. It's true! All I goddamn hear people talking business or girls talking about relationships and shit. If I didn't get my seats free, I would never sit down there. |
the balcony is where its at the true fans haha |

lol personally i detest the upper bowl, i'm a big fan and could care less about the people around me cheering or not the upper bowl is filled with skids getting way too drunk, and although there really isnt a bad seat in GM place, i prefer to be closer than further away, of the last maybe 30 games i've been to i've sat in the upper bowl maybe twice? and after watching the ATL game up there i'm trying hard to not make a habit of it although yes they are the better fans obviously and from sitting in the lower bowl so much when i went to the ATL game, within the first minute of walking around the upper bowl i was like "holy fuck theres alot of jerseys up here" |

And I agree about the upper bowl, the crowd can be rough. It's ok if you're with a bunch of guys but not seats you would use if you had your gf or wife with you, lol. |
The upper bowl does have a good atmosphere (i.e. people starting the wave, drunk yahoos heckling the opposing team's goaltender or goon, and people you can conversate with during intermissions who know hockey). The thing is though, it only takes a group of 2 or more drunk idiots being all belligerent to ruin the experience for other fans in the section. I guess that goes for any section upper or lower, but you see the drunk idiots more upstairs. Some people literally haven't developed life skills on how to act in public (Check out a Canucks game on a Saturday against a rival like the FLames and you'll know what I mean). As for the people who are not "true" fans, I could care less about that. Hockey is a sense of entertainment for them, or they are schmoozing clients, or whatever else. |
My season tickets are sec 308, basically center ice row 1.. You cant get really a better view IMO. There's no one leaning forward in front of you, and you can see the entire ice. Dont get me wrong, I dont mind the lower bowl, ive sat all over the building. |

I sat in the River Rock section, for the first time, at the Van-Wsh game. The view was great but there were constantly people coming and going (blocking view), servers taking orders, people randomly chit chatting about work, etc. the whole friggin' game. It took away from the experience of watching the game. Up on the 3rd level, people seem to focus on the game more and the atmosphere is more to my liking. It feels like there's more of an emotional roller coaster up there, as the game progresses. |
GO CANADA! |

upper bowl = relationship ? |
I honestly dont care where I sit, Yes the lower bowl is better but im there to watch the game. The way I look at it is with the extreme ticket prices these days I dont mind paying $50 less to sit in the upper bowl the game is just as good for me. |
2-0!! too bad hodgson isn't there :( |
4 - 0!!!! monster! |
mmmm this having a shot everytime Canada scores might not be such a good idea if the score is 12-0 by 2pm haha |
